I'm rooted and would like to find out if I can get rid of the "Low on volume space" notifications in particular. Or maybe at what point it starts showing up?

Thanks in advance

I think I can change it to something else for you. Just not sure you can remove it. If you want me to try changing it, tell me what you want it to say and I will give it a shot.
Done, bye guys, it's been fun.

<br /><br />It doesn't really matter what it says. My main gripe is the icon in the status bar. Could that be removed or made transparent? And could you possibly tell me where these edits would be made?

Yes,you can change the icon in the status bar. You would find it in /system/framework/framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi
And to change the text you would look in /system/framework/framework-res.apk/res/values/strings.xml
I can fix the icon for you if you can give me a screenshot of what it looks like. I have never had that warning, and I am not running Eclipse so I want to make sure I fix the correct icon for you.
Done, bye guys, it's been fun.

24v is right on the money! (theming way)

look at line 781 and 782 in strings...

<string name="low_internal_storage_view_title">Low on space</string>
<string name="low_internal_storage_view_text">Phone storage space is getting low.</string>

Change:

<string name="low_internal_storage_view_title"> </string>
<string name="low_internal_storage_view_text"> </string> (spaces may not be necessary but it wont hurt) :D

Image is
ic_popup_disk_full.png

Ill looking for the option 2 way :)

Your going to run into a problem by editing it in styles....your going to end up changing ALL notifications.

*sorry forgot about this :(

I'm not sure what you mean? I was just going to change the text in strings for that particular notification.
Done, bye guys, it's been fun.

Alright the XML files and editing an apk are a bit over my head currently but I am interested in learning. Any links to programs I would need and/or tutorials?

Thanks guys.

24v I would gladly have you do it for me but I'd love to learn if possible.

Been a while with this thread, but that notification is bugging me ape s**t. Maybe there is a way of editing the values on it so it notifies you when you have 10Mb instead of it popping up when you have less than a gig left?
