Welcome to the "Energy" ROM thread !

This development thread is the home of my "EnergyROM" custom firmware series for the Motorola Razr M. Here you will find ROMs that I have created for this device over time. My main goal when putting a ROM together is stability. A second goal would be a good, professional look.

I build my ROMs with four main goals.
  • Stability through private beta testing before public release
  • Eye candy ( I want my ROM to look great and for it to all flow together nicely)
  • Speed !!!
  • Smoothness, consistency and good aesthetics
I preconfigure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go.

Now on to the good stuff...

  • Based on the latest Verizon JB base ! (9.8.1Q_27-2)
  • Deep blue highlights and theming instead of green/holo blue/motorola green
  • ROM is mostly HTC themed
  • Deodexed, zipaligned, tweaked
  • Busybox + runparts
  • Stock Motorola kernel
  • Advanced Power Menu
  • Changed "Text Messaging" app for better readibility
  • AOSP T9 Dialer that's quicker than the stock dialer
  • Themed Email application
  • Themed lockscreen
  • Updated hosts file for ad removal
  • Disabled volume change sounds
  • Disabled package signature checking (themers should love this)
  • EXT4 partitions remounted with 0 barriers for quicker file access
  • init.d scripts support!
  • Custom boot animation (sound removed)
  • Battery percentage icons and charging animations
  • GPS, download, upload smooth animations in status bar
  • Tweaked autobrightness values
  • Disabled "no cyphering" notifications.. shoutout to our Russian friend for the tweak
  • Added A TON of new notifications/ringtones to choose from
  • Fast... Stable.. and GREAT battery life, because it's based on a STOCK ROM.

Alright guys enjoy another ROM for the M. This is just a first release, let's make it better. I only ask one thing... Don't ask me to change the theme or don't ask me to release a ROM without theming. You can use the stock ROM for that Posted Image This is themed and tweaked to my taste and I hope some of you like it enough to run it on your own device.

This ROM contains most of the Verizon bloat in it. I plan to release an Aroma powered version so the user can choose what they want to install. Or maybe just separate, debloated versions.

By "Verizon" bloat I really mean Verizon specific applications, like its backup assistant, visual voicemail, etc... not the spamware they loaded the phone with. Stuff that might actually be useful to Verizon customers.

I'd like to say that it's safe to restore your userdata partition (backup) over whatever ROM slot you install this ROM to and be back in business in no time, IF YOU ARE already running the stock JB ROM...

NRG! Cool to see you here. unfortunately i have an og razr and not a razr m or I would be flashing right now. just threw out my touch pro last weekend. you may remember me from my task 29 tutorial for the touch pro on xda. Is there any chance of a rom for the razr/razr max?

This is zexy ;), and that boot animation is pretty nice. IMHO, the best looking stock based ROM that I've tried out. I've only had it loaded for about 10 minutes, so I can't comment about functionality and battery. However, BT is working and is was not working on the CM10 based ROM I was running previously. Haven't had a chance to work with GPS yet. WiFi and data also good.

I can assure you all the functionality and battery life are there. It's based on stock, so you can't mess it up too much, unless of course you're an abolute n00b chef.. heh

You are right. I'm about 5 hours in and everything is working just as it should. I'm also still sitting at about 98% battery.

Actually I Found this ROM really familiar to the one long time ago.. Did you also make Windows 6.5 Custom ROM for HTC TYTN or HTC Touch Pro ? I'm pretty sure I was one of the Big FAN of your ROM...

Very nice to see you again here    :D :D :D
