Yes sir. Just be careful to check which Rom is on which version of JB. Some are .8 Xmas leak and some are .16 OTA. If you load a .16 you'll be fine. To run .8 you need to use the Compatibility tool.

I believe your files are still zipped. You need to extract them to the desktop using winzip or winrar

This roots both and so does RAZR Blade. Its the same thing

Sorry...I went back and reread the op and found the answer to my question. For some reason when I run step 2, I get a few fails and after all the rebooting it's not rooted. Do I have to go back and run all four steps?

What does all this mean? What do I need to do now?

I got the same message I just rebooted into recovery and installed the ics to leak zip from external sd and all was well then was able to install the new vw update but all was after doing step one

Did you clear data on the smart actions app in manage apps?? In the Xmas leak it we had to uninstall updates on the app. On the OTA you have to go to clear data prior to running the root tool

oh boy... everything was going smoothly until i tried to get to the blue screen after the Andy the android screen. holding vol up and down at the same time, but it doesn't go anywhere. just sits on the Andy screen... any thoughts?


never mind this, i used the other utility to get the latest JB back on, so phone is working again.

Are you trying to get into recovery?? I think it's just press both volumes to bring the words up. Press not hold.
