So, like an idiot, when in Safestrap, I deleted the stock rom... and as such currently have no OS to boot. I just updated to the newest JB release (Used the patch to go from the leak to the official)

So... I don't have an SD card adapter for my PC, meaning I can't physically move the SD card to something else so I can put a rom on it to install. How else can I fix my F-up?

Thanks

You're going to have to use

utility. You can get the soak file

. The bad news is you are going to need a card reader to put the file on you SD card. Sorry. You should power your phone down so you save battery til you can get the file on your card

The good news is, I remembered I had my Droid X and could use that as a makeshift card reader, and I transferred the files over.

Bad news it, the install didn't work :/

Yes.

I get through the first step, go to the Recovery section and attempt to install the "ICS to leak" zip as instructed, and during the process it says

assert failed: applu_patch_space(15008949)
installation aborted

Wipe cache in recovery then try to install again. This is a known issue. Should work after that. I hope. :)

You can mount the sdcard in safestrap. After you mount it, connect the phone to your pc. Then copy a rom (or whatever you want to copy) to the sdcard.

To mount it, in safestrap press on mount, then mount usb storage.

Good info. Thanks man. I'll file that away for future helping.

Yeah, it's one of those nice little features of the TWRP based safestrap that one tends to forget about. It comes in handy at times. ;)

That's precisely what I did and now I'm back up and running. Appreciate it! :)

I also made the same mistake and I've tried the Utility with no luck. It won't flash the stock recovery or the stock system. Is this because I had a newer version of the OS installed prior to my screw up?

Yes..

Edit: Oops just realized this is the 912 forum. You should be able to use the latest Utility on the new update. Which one are you using??

I just realized 912 as well. I'm dumb. I'm working on a Razr M xt907

Edit: Anyone know how to fix XT907? Safestrap splash screen comes up but I can't get in there for some reason.

Edit Edit: Using Utility 1.20

I fixed it. I used RSD Lite to flash back to stock. All good now!
