I have tried RAZR blade and it fails. Is there another way or root has not accessed on this ota?

Thanks

Razr blade works fine on the OTA. Please give us more info and we can help you get through it.

Even when I set my phone to mtp RAZR blade still fails. First time I had it as mass storage...failed. I then realized it and changed it to mtp and it still fails. I've used all the utilities I know of. anybody else having a problem or am I just that stupid? Don't answer that last part lol

I too accidentally let the OTA (98.72.16) install without doing anything to protect root. I originally tried Razr Blade without success and I was worried that a newer version of Smart Actions that could not be exploited. I went ahead and tried again after reading this thread, but I switched to MPT and it got past step 3 without file errors. Right after Phase 4 it got stuck on "cleaning up." I waited and waited and finally look at the phone. It was asking for root access permission. I remembered this step only appears sometimes. Once I granted it permission the process finished correctly.

This resulted in me being able to root the 98.72.16 OTA update with Razr Blade!!!

I had no desire to wipe my phone AGAIN. Wiping all the time gets REALLY OLD. I am glad I was able to do it without wiping.

I figured out my problem after I had to use rsd to flash the jb firmware.Lol for some reason the RAZR blade exploit in Matt's 1.90 utility wouldn't work. I just used the original RAZR blade utility and it worked perfectly
