Data issues are the reason I've been hesitant to leave Eclipse. I don't want to reboot my phone just to use it.

When I do a reboot I get good data for a while, until service is lost, then need to reboot again. Not sure I would call is consistant.

On another note, I have the voicemail notification in the notification pain and can't get rid of it. I called the voicemail and have no messages. Normally I use Google Voice, have no new messages there either. Don't know how I can get rid of this but it's annoying as hell. Any ideas anyone?

You have used the GSM-Patch to run this Rom. In this there's an build.prop that overrides the original one, so every Rom you use with this patch will show you the same Informations in the Phoneinfo.

If I'm at home on wifi... I make sure to turn off wifi before I leave the house. Then, when I get to work and need data, it always works. no matter how long my phnoe has been 'asleep'... if I fail to turn off wifi when i leave for work.. eventually, when i wake my phone (no wifi at work).. I have no data

I believe there is a connection but can't prove it for sure

as always, YMMV

I've found out lately that when I'm connecting USB from my computer phone toggles Data on. The same when I'm unplugging. Somebody has this issue?

I have the same data issue that I had with BW...After I put my phone somewhere it can't receive data (like a locker) for several hours, the phone shows that I have a good data connection, but then when I actually need to use data, I instantly get the gray 4g bars. I have to reboot the phone to get data back.

Could be a setting like what was on the eclipse rom that shuts data off after so many minutes of inactivity... just a thought...

did you try my latest build? data should be strong without drops .. and if u do its gotta be your location. i travel in and out of the 4G coverage and my phone switches to 3G and stays connected until i return back to the 4G area. and you shouldnt need to reboot to get data back, you need to go into phone info and toggle data to GSM only, wait for the screen to flicker "data goes from roaming to grey bars" then u switch it back to GSM/CDMA auto (PRL).

Has anyone tried the new build on goo.me Gummy_spyder_Release-2012-05-08-23_27.zip? I know there were tweets about building Gummy 1.2 and moto targets being built, but the naming convention changed, as much as I need my flash fix, I remember when 1.0 had a odd build up there.

crack flashing got the best of me. Downloaded, installed, wiped cache and davlik. First reboot hung at moto logo, second reboot nyan cat and as it started to rebuild the cache the nyan cat music stuttered, phone rebooted, rebooted again and this time it came up. So far data came up on it's own (my last install data was working great).

Update to follow.

edit: whoops, spoke too soon on data, 4G disappeared. Checked network mode and it still said LTE/CDMA. Toggled it and it took about a minute and it came back.

I think what you downloaded and flashed was a test build. Kejar just tweeted that 1.2 is ready. You may want to try this one

Camera is still a no go, it's been said times before, we won't see a working camcorder unless someone magically writes the HAL without documentation or they start building off the leak or a official ICS.

So data drops are still the same as with 1.01???

No, it seems like this build is good. I think I may have stumbled onto something with the data drop problems. After it went away, it came back on it's own and has stayed on.

I think part of the problem people like me are so frustrated with the data being wonky, that after a clean install, the boot up, see the data drop and quickly start trying to toggle stuff. When I installed I was preoccupied with work and I didn't jump straight into my "toggle all the settings" panic mode, and data came up slowly. I'm wondering if after booting, the phone does some soft-config automatically that I've been interrupting when I boot and quickly start toggling.

TLDR; data actually seems pretty good at the moment.

I went back and looked at tweets from yesterday, Adam and Kejar were tweeting builds yesterday and saying official release would be today. I just checked the Gummy_Spyder-Release-1.2.0.zip file on goo.im MD5sum: d2a22f6755164838e1a8aff776bc50cc matches the one I downloaded and installed. Looks like they just changed the file name (whew).

Overall this seems pretty good, now I just have to find some xhdpi themes. Anyone know of a good place to look?

Data is working great for me. Using llama to disable data while screen is off. When screen comes on data returns almost instantly. I'd say that's about as good as it gets.

About the camera and flash player yes been said many times it wouldn't work. But angel and jonman409 have it working on all dx builds without hardware so since angel part of team gummy was hoping it would be ported over guess not
