I have a droid razr maxx 4.0.4 6.16.211.xt912. It was previously rooted. I just rec. the update for jb and figured I better remove the root. Well, the superuser app was missing and then tried running voodoo and it said I wasn't rooted. When I checked on the system screen though it still said 1/1 and of course the update failed.
So, with my phone locked I tried the 1.8 utility and it did not work. Tried it twice.
Of course, I have no idea what to do to fix this but really would like to unlock and update my phone. Can anyone help me? Thank you

Your phone will always say locked as we have locked bootloaders....sounds like your not running the utility correctly. Option 1 and 2 need to be done in Fastboot mode. Are you running as admin assuming you are on windows, using a Moto cable, with the correct drivers installed? did you try enabling USB Debugging?

Should work pretty easy if your using the utility in the link.

Not sure, but the utility is simple and straightforward....you can try and unplug and replug phone, or try the utility again.

Update...Since I had some movement that time, I went back and tried the 1.82 utility and it ran fine. Now I am trying the update once again...hopefully, it will go through:) Thanks so much
