Hello all,

I figure I've been rather quiet lately and since there really isn't much happening in the way of ICS leaks I should probably throw you all a bone and give you something to chew on.

The radios on this are the same that have been in the last few builds so don't ask (CDMA radio is updated. LTE radio is the same as current release). This is merely just yet another bugfix. All back end except for the motocast widgets for those who use motocast.

There are no change logs for my leaks... ever... don't ask where it is. They don't exist.
Changelog at the bottom of the post now that it's almost ready for prime time.

This is not ICS.

This is not 2.3.7

Webtop remains build 139

This is fastboot/RSD recoverable.

Build date is March 8th.

Installation instructions are the same as always.

1) Download Link

. (MD5 - 6fbbeaf5b3ca0111d2ffc5033f3e735d)

2) Make sure you're on STOCK 6.12.173.XT912

3) Install via Moto recovery ONLY (see my 173 install guide if you don't know how to use or access Moto recovery)

4) Profit

Should the zip show .173 or .181? I pull it up and it shows .173. Just thought I would ask. Thanks!

My stock is .173 and my ROM via Bootstrap is Matt's Artic. So, I can flash via MOT recovery and still be on my way and boot back to Artic with a new .181 base?

Read the 173 install thread. It explains this.

Updates always show the previous version you're coming from but will take you to the newer version...in this case .181.

If you had safestrap and were running pure stock on your non-safe side sure. But since you're on bootstrap and are running a modified system, you're not stock. Hence this won't work.

How does one install this (if at all) on a stock (not rooted, or anything) Droid Razr. I do have the latest, I guess the .173, already installed, or is it not even worth it?

Thanks.

You're in the easiest boat if you haven't ever modified anything on your phone. Just download the file, throw it on your external sd card, boot into factory recovery and install.

Cool, thanks. Do I need to rename it to update.zip (I have updated stuff on other droid phones before, and usually had to rename it to update.zip) -- also, any chance that updating to this will knock me out of the update flow (meaning if Moto/Vz pushes a newer update, that I won't get it)?

Any real benefits to this update (I know it says theres no change log), but maybe someone who's done it, has noticed something?

If I never went back to 173 from 174,is this safe for me to run, or will I need to "downdate" first?

Edit: Tried, and installation was aborted. Gonna have to roll back...

Its a joke because it says its not in the OP and people in the past ask about it being ICS even though it says its not

Thanks for posting this, ArcaneXVI. I am always interested in an update that affects CDMA connectivity, as I live in an area with only-decent 3G coverage and no 4G until I get down to Jacksonville.

I really wish Verizon would extend 4G to my area, I live about 2 miles from the Florida border, and actually get 4G when I am at the waterfront within clear line-of-sight of northern Florida. But I suppose that's a topic for another section of the forum, lol.

Sounds to me like you need to spend more time on the waterfront ;)

The build date of march 8th tells me that we aren't getting a official ICS build anytime soon. Why is Motorola still waisting time on Gingerbread??

174/175/176/177/181 have the same CDMA radio to my understanding, and the LTE radio has not been upgraded since .173. Most notable changes in these bugfix versions have been tiny things like fixing the Search button in the stock app drawer.
