I'm currently looking for a screen protector for my razr and would like to know what the community is using. I do take great care of this phone but still want a screen protector on it. I have used a zaggshield on another phone and didn't like it. On my DX I had bought some from a brand called blu diamond and loved them despite some bad reviews I read online. Thanks in advance everyone it is very much appreciated.

I bought it right after I got my RAZR and I've been happy with it... I got it when it was $2 shipped, but IMO $5 shipped is still worth it.

I use the steinhell ultra clear and have since i had my X. Very happy with them. Feel pass very smooth, really can't even tell it's there. Does hold fingerprint smudges a bit tho.

It's pretty resistant. I carry mine naked at a sawmill every day. I'll be putting a protector on it soon just because my hands are ridiculously nasty after work lol! I have a case, but I forgot about it til now...

I am using Zagg Invisible Shield, always have had the best of luck with them, as long as you don't jack them up when putting them on.

Yeah, if I have something on my mine phones screen it's usually a Zagg. I haven't had any issues with them. And they're pretty durable.

Two thumbs up for the SGP Ultra Clear. No loss of resolution and easy to apply. This was key for me since I suck at applying screen protectors.

they're ~$8 on ebay with lifetime warranty. Zagg's are too thick and have a "sticky" feel imo. I put clear pro's on all my devices

I used a screen protector that the VZW store rep sold me (no idea what brand) but it looked and felt awful. Pixelated the screen and felt like hard plastic. Took it off and never put another one on. My screen is still almost pristine w/o one.

I just bought a ghost armor yesterday and I must say...its the best screen protector/fullbody protector I've ever had! With a full life time warranty incase it scratches or tears it was worth the $25 I got it for. Dropped my Maxx getting out of the car this morning and the little rocks didn't even seem to phase the full body protector. I highly recomend this to anyone looking for a good protection while maintaining thinness.

I have the Verizon protector on now. I got two scratches on it from keys in my pocket, but they were very small, But then.... I dropped my phone for the first time today, of course I took it out of the otterbox yesterday... Now I have a bunch of little rough spots all of the screen...

Ordering a new protector now...

The RAZR is equipped with gorilla glass. To my knowledge, you can take a key and purposely scrape it across the screen and it won't leave a scratch. YouTube it.

I tried running my droid x naked...after a yr of having screen protection I tried it and 3 months later I had light scratches where I swiped to unlock it..I was so mad at myself for running it naked... never again...gorilla glass is good but its still glass and going to scratch from normal use...

Yes! When I got home I thought my screen was messed up.. anything that was white looked like a rainbow.. peeled that thing off and was relieved to see my screen was fine! I'm running protector-less right now. Not sure if I'm going to get another Zagg Invisible Shield or try something else. Ill check out some of the others listed in this thread. I have a bad habit of dropping phones so I don't know if I trust myself to not have any shield on it

I've got the otterbox commuter to protect it from drops, but the gorilla glass is plenty strong enough to withstand anything that a screen protector would protect from on its own. A screen protector really only protects from scratches, to which the gorilla glass is extremely resistant. Nothing will protect it from shattering so it just doesn't make sense to me to have a screen protector on the razr.

iPhone and GNex are a different story, but RAZR... nah. I'm bare screened ans digging it.

The gorilla glass is good but its still glass and going to scratch from normal use over time.. all it takes is a single grain of sand from your pocket or if you had you hands in a flower pot or were digging and you will get scratches especially where you swipe to unlock... ran my DROID x 9 months with 4 different protectors...I tried going thru the winter without one and in 4 months I had 2 light scratches from normal use, on the swipe to unlock , no drops whatsoever ever... use a protector..its cheap insurance.

I used ZAGG Invisible Shields on all my touch-screen devices, but it always felt slightly tacky to the touch, like my fingers were dragging on it. I've been using the Skinomi screen protectors on my Droid X2 and now my wife's RAZR Maxx, and I have one for my RAZR Maxx that I'm putting on tonight. If you have Amazon Prime, they're actually cheaper than buying them from the Skinomi website. If you don't have Amazon Prime, the RAZR screen protector is $11.95, and shipping to the US is free.

From all of the youtube videos I've watched,the screen on the razr is pretty much scratch resistant..
I see no need for a screen protector.

Sounds like you have my luck. I bought my old DX 1 on launch, and the sales person @ VZ nearly begged me to get a case and screen protector. Of course I said Naa, I'm good. Left VZ, went to work. Stepped out of my truck forgetting it was on my lap, and it landed face down and smashed the screen. Thank goodness for insurance. :-) I haven't learned my lesson though :-). I've ran my MAXX naked since day 1. All's good so far, knock on wood. Lol

I've tried 3 screen protectors and now i am finally happy with the SGP Ultra Crystal screen protector. I started with the screen protector my OtterBox Commuter case came with, but it exposes a lot at the top where the front facing camera and sensors are. I wasn't worried at first since i thought the Gorilla Glass wouldn't get scratched, and boy was i wrong. I started to notice scratches on the glass in the areas exposed. I decided to get a screen protector that covers the screen almost completely. I got the Zagg but it has a rubbery feel to it that caused a lot of friction with touches. After a while the zagg started to peel off at the sides, so i decided to try again and get a new screen protector. I settled on the SGP Ultra Crystal, and i have been pleasantly surprised since then. I purchases it from amazon, and i was pleased to find out that the package comes with 2 screen protectors. It was very easy to apply, and it went on smoothly without any bubbles. I put it on close to perfect as well, on my first try. It feels great and it is very clear, it's almost invisible! I am very happy with this screen protector, it is very strong and feels great to touch. The only con is that the screen protector is a little bit smaller than the size of the screen, so it leaves a couple mm of space exposed around the phone's screen. This problem is solved with my Otterbox Commuter that covers those exposed areas. My Razr is fully protected now, i have no worries. I highly recommend these screen protectors.

I am using the same set up on my RAZR. I used a few different screen protectors but SGP has the best coverage and feel. I didn't get the best installation though, couple of air bubbles. The Otterbox Commuter is the best case I've used.

The air bubbles that don't disappear are cause by small dirt particles (ex. hair, lint, dust) that get between the screen protector and the phone's screen on installation. I have a lot of experience with screen protectors of all kinds now (wet and dry applications), and i am also a perfectionist when it comes to putting on a screen protector on my devices. Air bubbles and dirt trapped under really annoy me, so i have a learned a little tip that has helped me keep installations as clean as possible now. Before installing the screen protector, take a hot shower or turn on the shower and let the hot water run a bit. The heat and steam caused by the shower traps the particles floating around the bathroom area and cleans the air of them. Have your screen cleaned and screen protector ready for installation. Bring the phone and protectors into the bathroom after the shower or running shower, and install the screen protector after cleaning the screen thoroughly. I have done this the past couple times with my devices and the installations have come out excellent. Right now i have no particles or air bubbles on this last SGP installation. I would post a pic of how clean it is.. but just take my word for it! It is close to flawless as can be. 2 things though... Make sure the you don't get the bathroom too fogged up and steamy as it can fog up your phones screen, and this might cause minute steam droplets to remain under the screen protector after installation. This has happened to me and i have noticed that they do mostly disappear, but a little small residue mark might remain under the screen protector. It is almost invisible, and doesn't cause air bubbles... but to me its still annoying because its there lol. The next thing is make sure you align the screen protector properly so that you apply it on one try preferably. Peeling off the screen protector and trying to re-pply it a couple times it to align it properly almost always causes problems. Fingerprints, maybe hair, or dirt on your hands will more than likely begin to get stuck on the adhesive part of the protector when doing this. Hope this helps anyone trying to install screen protectors on their device. Good Luck
