are we still thinking April 4 is the actual release date?

A lot of users are losing root even with rootkeeper because they are not using the temp unroot option. If you back up root, temp unroot, install ota, then restore root, it works. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Xparent Purple Tapatalk

not completly true. i did it twice by temp unrooting, then this last time i forgot to temp unroot untill i was already installing it. i still tryied to see if it would work and i now have root.
Seems like obtaining root is a hit or miss kinda thing right now. im sure there will be a easier root method soon, or after the official OTA.

WHHHAATTTT???Did you try the terminal commands to get root back? Worked for me.

WHHHAATTTT???
I tried that this morning (saw the tweet from dhacker). When I send the first command (/system/su-backup)
it says 18898 cannot locate '_mktemp'... CANNOT LINK EXECUTABLE. But I see my su backup in the system folder (using root explorer).
Maybe I am not typing in the correct thing in terminal. Here is what I followed:
/system/su-backup
mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/system /system
cp /system/su-backup /system/bin/su
Is this exactly what you typed? This is the first time I have used android terminal emulator so maybe I am doing it wrong?

This is a screen of exactly what I did, when I did it.

That looks like the same method I did but I am getting and error after the '/system/su-backup' command. It says :
reloc_library[1289]: 7921 cannot locate '_mktemp'... CANNOT LINK EXECUTABLE
But I have a feeling I know why. Because the last time I cheescaked, I did not click "Temp Unroot" before installing the leak. I did the Temp Unroot two times before that but I know I did not do it that last time because people kept telling me not to click Temp Unroot before installing. So because I did not select Temp Unroot the last time, it is saying '_mktemp' cannot be located (which I believe is the temp unroot file). Oh well. lol

The cheesecake leak probably won't be the same as the official OTA or soak.

Your going to have to go back to stock, so off eclipse.
your fine with bootstrap, and ota rootkepper...so make sure you protect root and then temp unroot before upgradeing.
