Go to this thread - HERE

You are trying to flash the 4.0.4 . You can't go backwards -which is why it tells you that it is "downgraded security version" Go to the full post

I need help.. I have searched and tried everything I can think of. My phone boots into fastboot. I had a rooted phone with 4.1.2 after the update. I need to send it back to verizon so I thought to lose root and everything associated with it I would rsd back to stock 4.1.2. However I guess I did something wrong and my flash failed. have tried and tried to reflash using rsd but to no avail.. i get nada.

You will want to expand on the "I get nada" - What exactly are you doing and where does it go wrong?

BTW - for anyone looking to unroot for whatever reason - go

ok, so about phone android version 4.1.2 system version 9.16.6 xt926. I updated to 4.1.2 when it came out and my root was protected with voodoo. I had an issue with my phone a verizon sent a replacement out to me. I was going to send it back and decided to get rid of all traces of root. So I decided I would flash VZW_XT926_4.0.4-7.7.1Q-144_VQW_S3-34-25_CFC back to my phone to geti it back to stock. I thought maybe I didnt remove the getvar files correctly, so retried again today. when I tried rsd 6.1.4 it failed. i dont recalled what it faild from, but phone said
usb connected
downgraded security version
update gpt main_version failed
preflash validation failed for GPT

so I have been googling all day and still havent found anything
