[SOLVED]SafeStrap not going into recovery no os on phone

xt807 safestrap no os motorola droid razr m help

Best Answer tucstwo , 24 April 2013 - 07:02 PM

OK, OFFICIALLY SOLVED! This member needed the 4.1.2 Razr M FXZ files that were pre-released this evening. (I'm sure a public release in imminent). When he flashed the (edited...to confirm previous version..in his case) he was able to get his phone fully restored and booting. Case CLOSED.

To those reading. The Razr M 4.1.2 FXZ files HAVE leaked and I'm sure will be on SBF developers within hours. Cheers!

Please somebody help me. I am frantically panicing that I completely bricked my phone. Please help me, look through your sources if you could and do what you can to help me. I have had this device (The Motorola Droid Razr M XT907) since last november. I don't know what I should do. I don't know if there is a program that can force flash a new recovery or just make SafeStrap 3 to work. What is specifically happening is the following: I power + Vol Down to get the device to restart and the motorola logo appears. The safestrap 3 pops up with the option to tap recovery or continue. It will not let me go into recovery. I tap it and nothing happens. I tap continue and nothing happens Then since SS boots the selected rom, which it was on stock in 10 seconds. So then thr screen goes blank with the device powered on. Please, i don't know what to do. Is it bricked for good? Or can something be done?

Don't own your phone, but why are you using volume down button as well just to restart phone. Just hit power button, moto screen appears, then ss. Click continue to to boot into whatever rom, stock slot or otherwise, is currently running. Unless I'm missing something, for which I apologize.

There isn't an installed rom to be ran... The main SS boot screen, where you can tap recovery or continue is completely unresponsive. What happened was I was in SS, and I deleted the stock rom slot and slot 1. I then was going to install eclipse into the rom slot. I didn't want the stock rom anymore because I only have like 4gigs of HD space on my razr. But for some reason, which was very dumb, I restarted my phone without installing the eclipse rom. And the reason I have to power and vol down is because if I don't the device is only hanging at the blank black screen after the SS screen which is unresponsive disappears. It's like SS is trying to boot from stock slot, and there is no OS, so it just sits at a black screen. So I have to soft restart to get back to the unresponsive SS screen, that dissapears and hangs at a black screen. So what I need is to either get back into the SS Recovery somehow, wether it be through something related to pluging my phone into my computer and running a program, or maybe a certain button combination, just to reload SS and make it work or reload the stock recovery or something.

That doesn't sound good. I'm not knowledgeable enough on your phone to give advice. Can you fxz/sbf or whatever it's called to if needed. Deleting both was not good. Whatever you do don't freak out and do something irreparable.

Sent from my XT875 using Tapatalk 2

On the link you gave me, which option do I pick on the utility? And what do I do with the phone? Just leave it on the black screen?

My suggestion, as it's been stated already, it to get yourself fired up into AP Fastboot mode (From Off state, Power, VOL +, Vol -). Then use Vol - to highlight AP Fastboot and then Vol + to select it. Once in this mode, you can run either Matts Razr M Utility. OR, get your hands on a copy of RSD Lite and download the

from the SBF Developers. You can then run the proper file in RSD lite with your phone plugged into your PC while booted into AP Fastboot mode. Simple search will answer any question you may have beyond what I just told you to do. Good luck

Alright. I will do what you said. How do I power off my phone? Because Power + Vol down*** just restarts it

power, vol -...press and hold till the screen flashes. Then...QUICKLY press and hold the Power, vol -, vol + combo to be brought into the Bootloader Menu. From there, use the appropriate file from the site I gave you. The latest one, I'd assume if you're now on Jelly Bean. And then use
