Nope your're good. Safestrap was only needed when we had a locked bootloader. CWM works perfect now

I too have a quick question. I have a rooted Droid Razr HD(XT926) on 4.1.2... Was my bootloader automatically unlocked when I rooted my Droid? I have Superuser and SU installed, and I have ClockworkRecoveryMod as well. Do I need to worry about unlocking my bootloader? sorry for being so uneducated in these things, I've recently just immersed myself in the world of Androids.

I bash my own face in when I get frustrated.

I would say that you most likely unlocked it unknowingly. There are two separate processes for root and unlocking, but the fact that you have CWM recovery leads me to believe it is unlocked...... on boot up, do you get a boot loader unlocked warning screen or have you replaced that at some point? One sure way to tell is to boot into apfastboot and it will tell you right there.

Gonna revive this thread cuz I'm (like a lot of n00bs) totally lost on how to customize our devices and I want to customize EVERY part of it that I can. So bear with me guys. I'm rooted on a XT912, running 4.1.2. I have Titanium Backup installed and I want to install ("flash", right?) a custom ROM. There has to be a n00b guide on here somewhere, if so please point me in the right direction cuz I honestly couldn't find it and I KNOW this has been asked multiple times. Anyways, I just need to know where to start. Thanks.

EDIT: I think I figured it out. When I used the utility to root, I never used Option 4. So I don't think I have Safestrap installed. I'll do that once I get home and continue bothering you guys with questions after that...lol ^_^

Hello everyone I have a xt 926 razr hd that has that encryption unsuccessful message on it and I tried everything as far as resetting the phone back to factory settings the phone is not rooted and the friend I'm helping really need her phone. Is there anyway to solve this problem if the device isn't rooted and debugging is not on.

not sure why this request is in this thread, but the easiest thing will be to flash the stock firmware. Go to the House of Moto thread and read through several times before doing anything.
