Uninstaall your drivers and reinstall them. Also make sure to have latest RSD. My phone wasn't being recognized by the drivers anymore for some reason and I had to reinstall them. Make sure to restart your computer after your drivers are installed, and don't have your phone plugged in when you install and restart, that way the old drivers will make sure to be flushed.

If that doesn't work try matt's utility. The latest is 1.2. It is posted everywhere on these forums, and on xda. I personally like using RSD first.

Matt's utility has the option to upgrade to ICS. Don't do it. There is no way to go back to stock for now. Just use it to flash back to 173 and it has an option to upragde to 81. Most of the custom roms require 173 so I would just stick with that. Try DiaxninOs. It is really good.

Also, this is covered many times in this forum, and droidhive. Search is your friend!

... and if all that does not work, try a different usb cable and also a different usb port.

So this is what shows up after clean driver install. Still not recognizing in Fast boot. I'm stumped??? I know it has something 2 do w coprocessor not installing driver. Would a format of Windows fix???(Last resort)??

I tested at work on Windows XP & still no Fastboot usb reading. This phone is from an insurance claim i made about 2 weeks ago so maybe i should just take 2 Verizon & explain to them that I cant flash from fastboot? Would they just laugh at me i really dont know what 2 do??????

If you go into computer management then to disk management (on your PC) see if the Razr is mounted. Sometimes when it mounts the PC tries to give it a drive letter that is already in use, so you click the Razr drive in disk management and change the drive letter to something that is open say like "X" or whatever and it should mount.

You can simply enough overwrite the bootloader with a fresh one, but I doubt that's it. It sounds like a driver issue to me.

If you have access to Linux, Matt's tool works very nicely on Linux. I think the latest revision for Linux was 1.51... no drivers needed. It will wipe your phone and you will also need to do a data / cache wipe afterward.

Sorry I can't be of more help... no windows here... just Ubuntu and Mac.

Ty all but still not working. Have done drivers numerous times, ccleaner, malwarebytes, & combofix 2 clear any other problems. Still no fastboot recognized?? Recognized any other way when plugged into PC & still shows Coprocessor... Pic shows on 1st page. Don't wanna format puter but should. Lol or try Linux or Ubuntu virtually? Any ideas I'm at a loss?? :( Nice having a reset button not just clockwork backup.

Maybe the usb port is faulty. Make sure you have restarted you r computer after installing drivers. Maybe use a different usb cable..

But when I switch 2 fasboot that disappears & nothing but coprocessor shows up. Matts utility just says waiting for device & RSd never shows device. And it has worked b4 w different razr phone tho.
