Gonna catch crap for this but I have to say it. Well 2 things actually.

1. Samsung and Verizon is where my heart is. Can't help it.

2. If Apple ever makes an iPhone that has a 4.5" - 5" retina display and can hardware wise contend with recent Android devices, I would probably go that route. I'm not the one that voted for the iPhone though lol.

Ok, now I'm not being a buster or anything, this is an honest question. First of all, we can assume a screen larger than 4 inches would come on the next major iPhone release because everyone wants it and it's old tech (apples always a year or more behind) so let's say that one happens. But since the first iPhone, the hardware has been such crap. Look, I get it, all these devices are built in China, but I've known many people with iPhones, I've seen them break all the damn time, especially the screens and the backs and everything else. To assume they would suddenly start using better Components and continue to reach that $400? Price point seems out of reach.
But all that aside, how in the world isn't EVERYONE sick of that tired old UI/UX that has remained basically unchanged for over 6 years? Idk, I'm not really all that passionate of an iPhone or apple hater, I just don't get the fascination.
Buying an iPhone gets you poorly made, year and half old tech at a premium price with half a decade old software that you can't even replace! Well, I'm sold lol.

No fascination here, just a fact though that iOS has almost half the app and software crashes that Android does. You guys know that I'm by far no fanboy, however, one of the main reasons people are so attached to iOS is the stability.

I'd have you talk to my partner about that.  Besides his constant hardware issues that has him replacing his phone 2-3 x's a year, I think he resets his phone at least that many times  on top of that for various software related issues.  IDK that stability is necessarily that much better, especially for a non-cutting edge device.

While that may be true, that's your buddy, compared to the millions of iOS users. As I said, I'm not trying to defend Apple or anything like that. Just stating a fact. While I understand that everyone is going to rush to Androids defense, I'm just staying partial and giving credit where its due. Apple has an extremely stable OS and if people look up the stats they will see that there's no denying that. I owned an iPhone for quite some time and was amazed at how few software issues or app crashes I had.

The only app crashes in the month I've used my Nexus 4 have been Tapatalk 4 related. 0 lockups, and 0 slowdowns. Stock 4.2.2 as well custom ROMS built for the Nexus 4 are very stable...

Yeah, I almost have to agree with the others. I haven't had any "FCs" in a VERY long time. Not since Gingerbread. I can't imagine why that happens to you. VERY RARELY does an app hang on me. And (BACK IN THE DAY) when I did have an iphone, just before I got my OG droid, apps wouldn't crash, the entire phone would reset. Now, maybe they've worked on that, that was SOME time ago. BUT, I hardly ever have FC's. And I don't think people buy iPhones over Android because of stability. I think they buy it because they are sheep, suckers for marketing, who have the "perception" that iOS is more stable because they've been brain washed by Steve Jobs (my he rest in peace) that their software is superior over any other OS. Both mobile and computers. I personally believe OSX is a better OS than Winblows (but we can thank Linux for that). The same reason we can thank Linux for making Android as awesome as it is. Just my $0.02, not law.

And this is the problem with trying to talk about this to die hard Android users lol. You can't (or refuse to) see it from both angles. I've owned both devices and noticed it myself. Again let me emphasize that i'm Android all day, however, I can recognize that iOS actually does have stuff over Android. There are so many impartial videos and articles you can watch and read that will show you and tell you exactly what i'm talking about.

Anyway lol.

I voted Samsung and Verizon lol.

Damn... too late. I already voted. That being said... I doubt I will leave VZW. And my only reason to go over to Samsung would be for the new S4. Hoping MOTO will have something soon.

I would consider an HTC phone although the lack of multicolor led really bothers me. I don't trust Sammy radios. I would leap to any company who builds a Nexus with state of the art lte, processor, ram, storage sd card, & decent battery but would wait to read if users complain about the radio. Really my dream is a Moto Nexus or Sony Nexus. An FM radio would be a nice plus but not a deal breaker.

I can't change providers but would do it in a nanosecond if any provider offered reception everywhere I travel as vzw does.

Att has horrible service in my area. When they got the i phone I was so pissed. I wanted one so bad!! Then I saw the vz commercial for the droid X and I figured meh, I'll give it a shot. And I've been hooked ever since. Call me a fan boy, but motorola just seems to be a more rugged phone. That droid X was damn near unbrickable! I might be tempted to try an htc one. I just wish verizon didn't have such a monopoly on decent service in my area. I really hate them with a passion.

VZW has built up a lot of bad will and competitors' service coverage continues to increase. Eventually VZW will pay the price for their greed. What goes around comes around. If they take away my unlimited plan I'm gone to Tmobile. I'll live with the reception to keep unlimited.

See to me, that's crazy. I haven't had unlimited for almost 2 years, and not once have I come even close to going over. And I stream music, YouTube, download roms, screw around on the forum, run my SiriusXM for at least 4 hours a day, still. Never even close. Unlimited data would be the LAST THING to convince me to go back to Tmobiles crappy reception and god awfully slow hspa+. Never happening.

The only reason I use a lot of data is tethering TBH. The most I've hit in a long time is 20GB though.
