all some are tryn to say is 99% of these questions have been discussed in detail and at many levels of these procedures .and ife ur not gonna at least take a min and read what we have taken time out of our days to put here the first time...obviously these commnts are still needed..as we are normal pp here and we all like to help..we all started somewhere..not all just love repeating the exactly the same answer over and over is not cool and it just makes for more pointless reading then necessary.. for those that do choose to educate themselves as much as possible BEFORE problems...and this is a family site so keep ur vulgar language to urself..u might appear ignorant to those ur seekn assistance from..

Exactly what is being stated. Not being a smart ass. If you right click the crc you get a drop down of options. Save as...should be one of them. This is a common computer term and if you were confused by this maybe its safe not to toy around in the rooting and flashing department. Again not being a smart ass just don't want you to screw up your phone and then blame the devs. And there are no kids here sir....especially not "punk ass" ones. Lets keep things civil please.

If you are trying to download a ".crc" file what do you think you want to save it as? Also, if you want help you're a lot better off asking kindly.

Stop being a shlong.

Sidenote: Thank you for your service as a marine.

When you right-click on the link and select save as or what ever it says, if you are using Chrome, it will automatically save it as a .crc file. if it doesn't, just put a .crc at the end of the file and you should be good to go.

Okay first off I need to say thanks and hats off to you for being part of the Military and serving our country. if it wasn't for folks like you we ALL could not be enjoying the good things we do in life. So THANK YOU to you and your family for the sacrifices you have made for this country.

Now as a favor to me, the site, and community lets plz chill on the vulgar comments/swearing. Its not needed really we are all here to help the best we can. This is a hobby for ALL of us and we do what we can to assist anyone we can as time permits. That said i'd be more then happy to assist you as time permits me to in any issues you may be having or not understanding. As a lot of us have been doing this for awhile we do have tendency to short cut out help thinking ppl know what we mean. Obviously this is an issue atm and I'm offering some help whether you'd like to do it here in the thread or even via Private msgs your call.

Anywhoo to clarify in specific for the *.CRC file you are asking about. Move your pointer using the mouse over the link. Instead of your normal click of the mouse click the right mouse button and a pop will come up. Go down to Save As or Save link as depending on what browser you are using. That will download the 1 file you need. Then click the other link like normal and it will download the bigger ZIP file. Any problems or questions hit me up. PEACE!!!!

Love the leak :) Especially being able to go back to GB for the official OTA.

Anyway, on the leak, my 4G LTE keeps switching on by itself, even when I make sure its off, it will still come on. Idk if its actually coming on or just showing the icon, but itll pop up for about 10 minutes then go away. Weird stuff, only complaint :P

Just a freak thing probably, mine will probably go away after a while and a few reboots :P I'm hoping the battery on the leak is better because on stock gb my battery was incredible.

Well I couldnt wait. I side loaded. 79 over my existing. 181 didn't wipe or do anything. Had to stock recover 3 times and that's it. Runs perfect. Apps also updated themselves only had issue with camera not working. I went into apps and cleared data in camera app and now it works perfectly.

So if your coming from bone stock .181 & you don't want to root just side load baby!

Are you rooted ? If you have root, get OTA voodoo rootkeeper (market).. make a root backup. then temp unroot.

as long as you have never used safestrap or bootstrap you can sideload. (assuming you have never used safestrap or bootstrap):
1. download the leak and save to your sd card (I chose external)
2. turn your phone off.
3. hold <vol+> <vol-> <pwr> all at the same time until the phone boots w/ white text..
4. use <vol-> to scroll down to 'recovery'.. if you go past it, keep pressing <vol-> till you get back where you want to be.
5. use <vol+> to select 'recovery'
6. once recovery comes up (takes a few) select 'install zip from sd card' (or something similar)
7. navigate to the file you saved on your sd card.
8. select it.. wait for install. if it fails, do this again.. if it fails again.. repeat.. it will install as long as you haven't molested the .181 with bootstrap or safestrap

So, sideloading a rom is just really installing it in stock recovery?

Trying to download rom, seems like the second link may be dead. It's only bringing up numbers.

Seems like you haven't read the thread. It is a .crc file which is just a text-based sum checking the zip file was downloaded properly. Right click, save as, make sure its .crc rename if you have to.

C'mon, that's basic web experience.. If you don't have that, it's questionable if you should be using a custom rom or anything even close to this difficult
