So the DDX_DEBLUR_DEBLOAT did not work. I got the sick belly Andy with a red triangle. Did I do something wrong? I downloaded the file for the thread what was about it.

Got the script to run, you need to extract the zip first then you will be able to click on the file. A dialog box will come up make sure to click su and boot. Save the file and the run the script. Should take a couple minutes to run.

I did as you said. I extracted the file. Then clicked on it and selected the first option. Selected su and boot then save. I clicked run and it ran but I saw a lot of does not exist. What bloatware would I seen removed? Going to reboot phone too.

Correct for now. Dhacker is working on AOKP for the ICS leaks and has it working for 75, 84 and 85. It might work for 79 but it hasn't been tested.

I tried .79 build, the exchange still does not work (well I could not make it sync) Also I inquired complete reset 3 times. For some reason phone went all the way to initial set-up screen...

Could you please elaborate on which problem you are refering to reset or exchange emails?

I was on the .75 leak and went back to .181 because I was having issues with Random Reboots (big problem when I was using it as an alarm), data drops constantly and the battery life was much worse than with GB. Is this version (.79) better on those issues, or should I just sit back and wait for the OTA?

The modifier is not a rom in itself. It just cleans up the existing rom to make it not burn system resources on bullsht that vzw deemed necessary to include. Other than the fabled dhacker rom that might come soon. Roms probably wont be around until well after the ota.

I assume you meant to ask if you will lose your data. If you do not wipe data you should be able to flash this without losing anything.

thanks junlgle. You wouldn't happen to know how to place shortcuts on the homesceens would you? Example, I have mulitple email accounts and would like to setup seperate shortcuts for them on the home screen.

You can use a replacement launcher like Apex or Nova. They both have the ability to isolate specific activities as short cuts. Or there's an app called AnyCut which can do it with the stock launcher.

Just as the other user mentioned, you could use a third party launcher like apex or nova but if you prefer to use the stock launcher like I do. If you open the drawer and touch the widgets tab, then scroll through and look for "email shortcut". There should be two different options in the drawer, either email widget (which will put the full widget on your screen) or there should be a 1x1 email shortcut option. Select that option and it will ask you which email you want the shortcut for. You can place a shortcut for each email you have set up.

I thought the ddx deblur debloat did nothing. Well in titanium backup when I was freezing apps. At the end I saw blur apps with a line through it. So it did work and removed 7 or 8 apps. Sweetness.

I have been running smooth on 79 and it feels snappy. I don't know how much is due to the fact I did a fresh wipe.

Used Matt's util to flash back to stock .181, rooted with util, installed voodoo, ES and rom manager, copied .zip and .crc to cache, clicked .zip, fired up rom manager, reboot and flash fails. Any ideas?

Do you have the sbf file for 744? If you do and have rsdlite installed, then I would read my post and try what I did. Flash back to 744 and use moto fail to root. In at all ota rootkeeper and update su and binary then protect root and temp unroot to update to 748. Check su and binary then protect root and temp unroot and update to 173. Do the same as before then update to 181 and do the same again. Fallow the instructions on flashing 79. Put zip and crc in /cashe folder. Have rom manager installed and es file explorer and able rw to move folders. Then keep root protected and open zip with rom manager. Then when it it done and settles a bit. Update su binary and if it fails then download su update fix and run that. Should work and delete su backup in root keeper and then protect it. I was told that the terminal emulator commands for 75 will work for 79 to retain root if it fails on flashing. Hope I was able to help you.

Thanks for the help guys...I figured it out finally. The preinstall.img in the copy of Matt's utility that I downloaded was corrupt. There was a CRC failure during unzip that I totally missed. I download the SBF file and did an RSD fastboot to .181. .79 flashed fine.

If im not mistaken I think you need not to have ever installed Bootstrap or the likes and gotten a custom recovery. This was the issue on the .75 leak that I encountered. I RSD'd back to 173 and then went on to rooting with motofail, put all the files on the cache folder, protected root, and then installed with rom manager and had no problems.
