Hey i was wondering if i could use this to receive the OTA update for ICS cuz i have it now but when i try to update it gives me a error and wont update, i was prev. rooted then updated to .181 without removing the root so i still have superuser but im not rooted anymore so, could i use this to restore my phone to factory .181 and be able to get onto ICS? without bricking my phone? please let me know thanks, cuz im still really new to this stuff

Yup it should work fine for you. This will restore you to .181 stock then you can take the OTA to ICS and then to JB. There is a root method for JB so you can do that also when you get there

Posting the exact failures would help out a lot.  Also, there's no need to post this question in three different places.

Hi Matt pls I still need the Droid RAZR utility 1.6 for my XT912 VZW which came with Gingerbread...I was upgrading to ICS using RSD lite to flash the android 4 ROM but failed at last steps.All effort to restore the have been frustratingly negative.the Droid utility 1.82 was a hope that it could be restored.it flashed smoothly except for the "writing devtree...INFOpreflash validation failure FAIL (remote )" error...and a IMG larger than partition error. Pls help.
