well i switched over to the new CM9 rom that was just released for ics razrs. and it was working fine home screen and everything then i downloaded google playstore......and then i rebooted and um now my phone is stuck in bootloop. what do i do now. can i just flash back the 84 leak back onto my phone? or will i have to do what alot of users did when they softbricked their phone when they tried flashing back to gingerbread. you know the brute force method. i thought i made a recovery or backup bit for some reason its not to be found...HELP!

Are you safestrapped? That is the only working method so far if you're talking about the cm9 build for the 4.0.3 leaks

Did you use safestrap or bootstrap to install?

Force a reboot by holding down power + volume up and volume down for several seconds. Then immediately after the screen flickers keep holding all 3 buttons down. Get into the boot menu and select recovery.

Do a data wipe / factory reset and try booting again.

You didn't flash gapps (Google Applications) if you had to install the play store. ALWAYS FLASH GAPPS after you flash a rom unless told not to. And yea make sure you are using new safe strap v2.0

You can still install and boot fine, but you won't have the play store, or the beginning run through.

Just replace the existing boot ani with the new one at /system/media/

And chmod to 644 / rw-r--r--

Make sure its named "bootanimation.zip"
