You'd have to make it a flashable zip, not sure if there's a way to do this on phone only, but I could be wrong...

There is a best option so I made another one. Flashed it and said successful but doesn't appear to have worked. Still says 2500 and don't look any different. At least I didn't break my phone lol.
I would suggest staying away from anything that isn't ready for "prime time" as usually there are reasons(bugs) that may be unknown but may have unforeseen(bad) consequences.

It is experimental so probably for the best at this point.

I'll have to check that out. I have found a few but they were all for something other than xt907 and I don't want to take a chance with that.

No worries. That's actually the one I used to upgrade to 2.6. I whole-heartedly trust the stuff on Batakang.

It worked thanks. Wonder if the zip name was the problem. They both look exactly the same except for that. Even both the same exact mb size. All the options look the same while in recovery. After flashing mine out was successfully bit still said 2500. But I noticed a side load option that I didn't remember 2500 having.

Also, instead of the button for naming your backup being near the bottom right, it's now at the top center of the screen.

Mine reverted back to 2.5.0.0. That's odd. Noticed it last night I'll have to flash again and see what happens.
That's definitely weird. Mine has 2.6.0.0 on top.

I just went into recovery to reflash 2600 and its already 2600??? I'm positive it was 2500 last I checked and didn't have the encription option. Perhaps I was hallucinating.

You need to tell me what you've been taking. It sounds good.

ZIPme is a free a app on the Play Store made by the same guy that makes ROM Toolbox. it allows you to take and file and turn it into a zip file all the while not to boot into recovery until you install the zip file you created.
