So you actually do a "mount system" step twice. Once before wiping data and system and once after that step? Thanks for the info, would've saved me a lot of time and trouble. The OP just says to mount the system once in the install instructions.

no...you just mount the system before flashing the zip

Maybe you guys should try CWM recovery. TWRP has its bugs and clearly they are not understood by some...it is not the ROM's fault you when the recovery is incorrectly used!

Bad....like someone pointed out earlier...op instructions only say mount once.....now I agree...This is a known procedure for stock based roms...and yes its redundant to spell out instructions...custom roms aren't for beginners so this should all be known...however its not.

Thanks Bad.  Not trying to start a flaming war, just to understand the process and procedure as I did it just like the instructions in OP.  I guess here is my question, and maybe my misunderstanding.  Are you to Mount the system BEFORE or AFTER doing the factory reset/data wipe?  Because when I was looking at the OP I did do a Mount system and I did it BEFORE the data wipes as that is where it is the order listed in the installation instructions and it is only listed one time BEFORE the instruction to do a "wipe system".  Again just trying to increase my own understanding, thanks for the great ROM and the continued work that you do on it in maintenance and improvements.

Before and after... Basically to do anything on a stock based ROM your system has to be mounted.. Why mount twice? Because after you format system it unmounts itself...so before installing a stock based ROM...system must be remounted.......this procedure isn't exclusive to rage....from what I understand this is for all stock based roms

If it is that hard here is a step by step for y'all.

First boot into recovery (SS OR TWRP)

Step 1. From the Main recovery menu go into Wipe Menu and select Advance Wipe and select everything except internal and external Storage.

Step 2. From the Main recovery menu go to mounts and select System to mount. Data and cache should be already mounted in there.

Step 3. From the main Menu select install and then the item that you are installing.

See its only a 3 step processes even a Cave Man can do it. :D

What is the method to restore the original red M bootlogo on the Razr HD rather than the Rage HD logo that is on now? I'm running roms on a HD with safestrao (locked bootloader)..

Thank you..

I tried out this ROM with Safestrap and decided I didn't want to use it. But now, even though I've deleted the ROM and am using the stock ROM slot, RageHD's Motorola Boot Logo is still there. Is there any way I can change it back to the stock Motorola "M" logo when it first boots up?

If you haven't found a solution yet, you can always use

, which gives you options for multiple boot logos and more. The mod works locked/unlocked bootloaders, deodex/odex basically you just need to be able to flash via recovery.

This ROM is old. I highly doubt it's still hosted anywhere. Someone might have a mirror saved, if you're lucky.

I doubt it exists any longer.  Look at the date of the post above yours.
