Hello everyone!

I have few questions here and If you have a minute that would be great!

1. been using safestrap3.11 to boot other roms.  this may be a multipart question since it may also question the slot sizes made and the number of used slots.

looking for an answer in a form like this.

Below is an example answer I am looking for

-----begin example-------------

for the interal 8gig card

4-romslots with 1-2gb data partions  4k clusters

or

2-used slots 2-3gb data partions 8k clusters

for the external 32gig card

4-romslots with 1-2gb data partions  4k clusters

or

2-used slots 2-3gb data partions 8k clusters

------end example--------

obviously the data partitions are large files and would benefit from the higher cluster sizes but since it remounts the internal sd card after boot some apps, may and will point the the internal sd card and use it as local storage. catch 22 but I do my best to point to the external sd card since space may run out internally.

2. would I get better speeds from the SS slots bye formating the internal 8gb to  linux partion type ext(2,3,or 4) instead of fat32?

3. Can I configure safestrap3.11 to point the external sd card instead of the internal 8gb to essentially double my slot amount to 8

Thanks guys.

I use 2gb partitions for all my romslots and I've never ran into any space issues. I, like you, have the 8gb internal and a 32gb SD external. I use the external for everything else and give SS the internal. I haven't tried running SS off the external but I would think it would be slower. Also most of the roms i use/tried allow the user to select internal or external storage. I can't say that I've ever had more than 3 romslots going including stock. Usually I just have stock and aokp, although I recently flashed carbon and am loving it.
