Running ICS 4.0.4 with Safestrap installed.

CM 10.1.2 is installed. used as daily.

Upgraded to CM 10.1.3 via CM upgrade system.

Now, phone is in CM logo boot loop.

When booting, the Moto logo appears, then a long wait and CM logo appears in a loop.

Before Moto logo appeared, then Safestrap logo, then CM logo and then successfully booted.

adb devices finds the phone even though it's in a loop.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

If you flashed to a ROM slot.... boot into Safestrap and delete the slot and start over ..... if you flashed (or tried to flash over stock) .... you will need to visit the House of Moto .....

I am certain I flashed into rom slot 1 where CM was.

When booting up the Safestrap page does not come up.

I've read the page you suggested and do not understrand the last part.

"Unzip the fastboot_scripts and rsd_scripts folders in the zip file for your phone into the HouseOfMoto directory."

The folders are already in 'HouseOfMoto' directory.

As stated earlier; Safestrap does not appear during boot.

There is not way to get into Safestrap.

And they're empty until you download the support file for the xt875 and unzip it into the HouseOfMoto directory.  ;)

Then you have little option but a trip through the House.  I've updated the House of Moto OP to make things a bit more clear, but, you do have to follow the directions else it won't work.

P.S. Yes, this means you will have to root again.  Easy Root is the best option for that IMO.

Thanks for replying.

So, where does all the work from above go.

Adding support for an xtYYY device:

o) Take the rsd xml script from the FXZ for the particular device and copy it to FULL_xtYYY.xml in the rsd_scripts directory
o) Take the rsd xml script from the FXZ for the particular device and copy it to KEEP-DATA_xtYYY.xml in the rsd_scripts directory
o) Edit KEEP-DATA_xtYYY.xml, remove erase data lines
o) Create new FULL_xtYYY.bat and/or FULL_xtYYY.sh in the fastboot_scripts directory
o) Edit FULL_xtYYY.bat and/or FULL_xtYYY.sh to add fastboot flash lines for each line in the FULL_xtYYY.xml script
o) Create new KEEP-DATA_xtYYY.bat and/or KEEP-DATA_xtYYY.sh in the fastboot_scripts directory
o) Edit FULL_xtYYY.bat and/or KEEP-DATA_xtYYY.sh to add fastboot flash lines for each line in the KEEP-DATA_xtYYY.xml script
o) Add any custom scripts required by the end user...name FUNCTION_xtYYY.xml and FUNCTION_xtYYY.bat and/or FUNCTION_xtYYY.sh in the respective rsd_scripts and fastboot_scripts directories

It doesn't.  You only need to do that for phones that AREN'T supported.  Meaning if your device isn't listed with a download link under Support, then you can create your own scripts.

Ok, when executing 'HouseOfMoto.sh', it gets to 'phone.properties' and aparently stops.

'phone.properties' is empty.

What mode should the phone be in?

Recovery,

AP Fastboot,

BP SBF Flash,

BP Only,

BP HW Diag & Boot AP, or

BP Tools.

Or, I'm all wet?

It should be prompting you to enter the phone model.  Enter xt875. And it's very clear in the instructions about the phone being in AP Fastboot mode.

Got it working.

I thank you for your hard work and efforts.

Forgive my ignorance.

Although, the phone is on Page Pluse.

The phone does not work.

Back to the repair shop to get it flashed again.
