Man, I'm in an even worse state.  :(  So annoying Verizon did this.  So, at this point, there is NO way I can remove bloatware and/or install a custom rom?

Are there any SS compatible ROMS that use Kit-Kat? I know that Verizon will be releasing their version of it but I really want the update now. :p

You can try the CM 11 nightly downloads from here,

Not sure if this is for locked or unlocked devices though. Shouldn't hurt to try it though.

Currently running Blur-based Eclipse on my locked XT926. Searching for any non Blur ROM that will boot up on a locked device.

That's the problem without kexec. You are stuck with the kernel you have.

My question is will hashcode be willing to work on again or update safestrap for the HD? And then will anyone be willing to make versions of their ROMs to work on the locked bootloader versions of the HD? Basically can we get this to be like the OG RAZR?

yes! I just moved from my og razr to an hd because I had to file an insurance claim because my og's power button wouldn't work. They were out of inventory so they had to give me an hd. Now that I am seeing how little development there is for this phone on safestrap, I am very disappointed. I was running a fully functional build of official cm11 on my og razr and, with this phone being newer, I expected more..

Well I can understand why there isn't more since the concentration was on unlocked devices. But now since the Locked devices now have root hopefully some support will follow. I currently am on my OG RAZR running cm11 and loving it. A friend of mine has the HD though and I am doing what I can to give him the experience that I have with mine.

I still have my old razr, I acquired an og maxx from my brother when he went to the s3 which is the one I had to send in to get the HD maxx. I may have to swap back to my og RAZR occasionally. I just love the quick settings panels, the quick text reply, and the expandable notifications too much.

I wouldn't expect it.  There's a working version of SS right now, no need to update it.  There is a way to make just about any ROM boot on SS, but then you'll run into kernel problems and I haven't seen anyone do it yet.  That's why all the SS ROMs are stock based.  They don't really build any newer 4.2, 4.3, or 4.4 based ROMs for SS because they won't run perfectly.

Well I'm used to ROMs not working perfectly on my OG. But some get pretty darn close. Especially cm11. And I think SS would need to be updated to be able to put a kit Kat based ROM on the phone. Just like the other locked phones using safestrap had to do

OG has Kexec, M and HD do not.  That is the key difference.  There is no point in updating SS, if there are no ROMs in development for it.  Development for SS pretty much stopped as soon as the BL was unlocked.  Take a look around at other devices out there.  Ones that don't have a BL unlock capability have lot less development than ones that are unlockable.  I just picked up that Nexus 7 from the drawing on here and I was astounded at the amount of development for it.  It puts the HD and M to shame, as well as my old Galaxy Tab 2 which has an unlockable BL.

Honestly, instead of people consistently complaining about lack of dev on SS ROMs, someone just needs to pony up and start modifying them to work with SS.  Many devs aren't going to put much work into SS ROMs because there's a bigger demand for unlocked ROMs.  Also, I believe some devs won't support ROMs for locked devices because it's giving into the "man."  They don't want to contribute to development of ROMs for locked devices.  I'm not saying everyone is like this because a lot of people still support locked devices.  However, I know there are few devs that are pretty hardcore about their freedoms.
