Here is a modified AOSP MMS.apk that I modified for blur based Roms....pictures resize perfectly now.....so far all working good... DL here

I pulled the mms.apk from eclipse rom.....and it installed fine but Images over a certain size would fail....after a few XML edits....it works... Thanks to eclipse team for making my life easier... Edit only issue remains is if u turn on delivery reports. It says failed...even though they actually work...this an known issue from what I've been reading but still trying to fix.... For me quick reply is more important than delivery reports...so I figured its time share.. .and maybe together we can resolve this one last really non issue Enjoy Peace Byte Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 2

 

 

Update:

here is a modified PA MMS.apk to work with stock blur based roms.....like above only issue left is sms delivery reports....mms work fine.....turn off for now...either way all txt and mms work.

this app has also been modified to correctly resize mms pictures like above.

This mms is completely customizable....there is a theme engine built in and you can change almost everything...

I have 2 versions....original icons and a buufed version for matching with my theme.....

download below....push to system/app rename to Mms.apk or messaging.apk (your choice) change permissions to match other apps....reboot(rename old mms app before pushing and also make  a back up...better safe than sorry)

im sorry and always want to credit original author....I simply edited to correctly resize for our network and a few other minor changes

The delivery reports work when sending a MMS message, just don't on the texts so maybe won't be too hard to eventually fix, but even when it shows unsuccessful on the delivery report for the texts it still got sent and received. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2

Yep....didn't know they worked for MMS but SMS....though all showed failed...however every text does go through.. I'm trying a few different things... But starting to think it could be build.prop or APN setting issue..... Also report shows pending on a text I sent to a non Verizon....so this could be carrier specific.... Hopefully we can figure this out....but I still like this MMS vs stock....I don't use delivery reports anyway and like having back quick reply and bubbles....but still want to fix for those who do Peace Byte Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 2

For now...turn off delivery reports and enjoy a better than stock MMS ....IMO
