So I updated my stock Razr from GB to ICS with the OTA update (CDMA, VZW). In short - I hate it.
I've heard there are some issues surrounding this update that prevent putting a GB ROM back on it? (any GB rom really, but preferably stock since I was happy with it).

Is this true, has anyone experienced attempts at downgrading ICS back to GB on the Droid Razr?
No workarounds yet?

Thanks in advance for comments/input.

Well I certainly don't want to brick my phone, which is why I haven't attempted it.
The waiting is really frustrating though...

To be frank I dont think any dev will spend time trying to find a way to downgrade to GB. Unless you want to do it yourself, your best bet it to go and bring on the rain on customer service and see if they can do this for you or give you a replacement phone which hasn't been updated yet.

Also would be curious to know what is it that you hate about ICS most of the folks I know including the non techie types love it.

There are only so many people doing development, and they only have so many hours to spend. They are going to be working to solve problems / add enhancements that lots of people are looking for and will benefit from. From that simple logic, I don't see them spending time on a back-to-GB tool. Its something that very, very few people would ever use.

Maybe you should give ICS a chance as from most peoples perspective there is literally nothing that GB has on ICS.

At this point i don't think it is even an issue of then putting time into figuring it out. When the first leak of ics , back in may, that left us stuck came out, devs worked hard to figure it out and in the end it just was not possible.

Maybe they can do a back to. 79 from. 211 and from there go back to gb. I don't think is possible but these guys are genius when it comes to that stuff.

So no way to go back yet? This is frustrating.
ICS has removed so much intuitiveness from Android, such as contacts removed from the phone app, widgets require going through the app screen, flick scrolling is not as fast.....I could go on and on.
I feel like this was a downgrade. Such as shame, as the Razr was a great phone before this "upgrade"

Google needs to tell Motorola to unlock the bootloader then convince verizon to push it. Remember Motorola was going to unlock it and verizon said no.

Or Motorola could release it publicly, and bypass Verizon altogether.
Damn politics and greed, that's what it always comes down to
