Happily running rooted ICS and loving all the changes and improvements over Gingerbread... with one small exception. I do not like the heavily social networking integrated Moto-My Gallery. I would much rather have the Gingerbread style gallery that opened directly to my photos/videos.

Instead I now have no less that 6 buttons on my screen when I open the app "My Gallery".
Add social network (My Gallery)
Camera roll
My library
Online
Backup Assistant+
MotoCast

If I then click on "My library" I can get to the older style gallery I'm accustomed to and one that I work better with. Any suggestions on how I can get the functionality I want without all this MotoCast, social network integration, blah blah shoved in my face.

Thanks for your suggestions. I'm about >this< close to freesing this app and trying to install the apk I have backed up from my old DroidX on Gingerbread.

Try QuickPic from PlayStore (free). Awesome gallery. Blur ICS gallery was too slow for me and ASOP galleries (even those patched for Blur camera) did not integrate well with the camera, they never opened just in the camera folder, but in all the folders. The combination of ICS+ camera (also from PlayStore, free and paid) and QuickPic has worked really well for me. I'm even amazing how much better face focus tracking works on ICS+ camera compared to stock Blur Cam...
I come from Droid X, too, so I know how you feel :-)

You just made my day! This is the perfect app I've been looking for to replace the ICS gallery that I dislike. Very good looking app so far and I'm really enjoying it. Also, like the name says it is very quick!
+1 Internets to you!

I too hate Moto's gallery....but as far as I can tell it's the same as it was in GB.
