New to the Razr, kind of miss the simplistic 4 level settings of the Droid X. LOL
These are the settings I set up so far:

0--------4--------40
5--------49------60
50-------99-----80
100-----499---100
500-----999---150
1000---2999--200
3000---infi.----255

can't seem to find too much tweaking info for the Razr, just generic CM7/9 settings.
I have the first level at 40 because 0-39 was too dim (white levels were too grey) and didn't seem to change until I hit level 40.
Anyone have better settings? This seemed to help my battery life by about 10% but I am sure it could be tweaked a little more.

Where can you set these? Is this on stock?
Don't take me too seriously, its only my opinion...

You need a custom ROM to edit these functions easily. Mainly ROMS based on AOKP and CM9 have the backlight settings option

Custom ROM like AOKP or CM9 based roms.
You can also use an app called Custom Auto Brightness from Google Play.
When I had my GNEX I had like 30 increments set. I had the brightness change soooo smoothly, it was nice. Took about 3 days of constant tweaking to get it how I wanted it though.

The smoothness doesn't matter to me, I am mainly using it to extend battery life. The settings I posted are working good for the environments I am in: home, work, outside. Just bright enough to look good while saving me some battery. Gotta say that the brightest level on the Razr seems to be lower that what I had on the Droid X but that could be attributed to the different display technologies used.

I like the idea of this app but I'm confused pin why in the op it shows 3 sets of numbers and the app only has two adjustable values.

When you set the next line it sets the limit for the previous lines setting. For example:

The first line starts at 0:

0 -- ?

If you set the second line at 5 then the ? = 4

If the second line is:

5 -- ?

and you set the next line to 50 then the ? = 49

It took me a while to get it too but I hope that clarifies it for you :)
