I have to return my phone to Verizon. I used the Utility to unroot. When turning the phone on, instead of showing the Moto M at the start it still shows the Rage M symbol. How can I get that turn back to the stock red M?

 

I'm locked right now.

 

Edit: I'm not rooted anymore but on 19.18.78 so I can root again if needed.

Root is not needed to flash a logo..... You find the stock moto logo here

or you can pull the logo.bin out of the FXZ or matt's utility.... Then flash using fastboot (fastboot flash logo logo.bin)

I think I'll have to try to Fastboot way. I flashed it in recovery using SS and now the logo that was there is gone but a new one has shown up saying Rage HD, lol.

Hey, johnthehillbilly. Thanks for the fastboot flash advice. It took a 2 flashes but I'm back to the red M. All is good now and I'm sure Verizon will be a little happier. haha.

What version of SS are you guys using for the RAZR M? I can only install 3.11 but can't install ROMs on this phone, it errors out.

Got it badazz did a reset via Matts utility 1.20 found the apk for SS 3.12 installed flashed v1.1 have been running v1.0 since the day I found your rom keep up the great work

I also went back wiped everything except external then restored ROM I stock and this is with all my music on my 16gb SD Device available storage 3.9 SD 9.8 Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk

can I install this rom in cm11??


If you are unlocked, and you install this ROM , it will replace cm11..... if you are locked and using safestrap, then you can create another slot and install it "along side" cm11.....:)

I cant figure this out. I have put safestrap on my phone but I dont know where to go from there bc safestrap only has 2 options: Install recovery and Uninstall recovery. I dont understand when it says select a slot and so on can someone please post a more detailed guide? thx in advance

Reboot to "access" safe strap. Must be rooted and have unlocked boot loader. You'll see boot options and see ROM slots. Choose slot. Create slot. Read this entire thread. Profit

Hey man once you download safestrap apk open click install recovery then reboot phone manually when splash screen appears tap bottom left corner there is where you shall find the key to happiness

safestrap DOES NOT require unlocked boot loader. Its purpose,in fact is to hijack the locked boot loader. Way to confuse the noob needing help dude!
