I recently had boot looped my phone after I had tried to update while rooted. To solve the problem I used House of Moto which worked great to get me out of boot loop, the problem I now have is that when I try to update, it downloads the update, but upon installation it crashes and says that the software failed to install. Any ideas on how to solve this?

Is there a way to go back to complete stock, maybe that will fix the issue?

If you used HoM ... then you did in fact go back to complete stock..... if you really really want the latest update, you can use the latest FXZ (with HoM)..... just remember, once you do, you will lose the ability to root..... period......

As John stated, flash the FXZ of the version you are trying to update to so you can skip the OTA part.  Just so we have more info, what version are you on?  Are you unlocked?

The only way to find out what the issue is with the OTA is to install it manually.  Download the OTA and put it on your external SDCARD.  Reboot into recovery, and try to install it.  You'll get an error 7 followed by a long involved error message.  That's what we need to see to determine why it's failing.  If you go beyond the update you're on, you will lose (likely permanently) the ability to root your phone since you are not unlocked and can no longer do so.  You could FXZ the latest update onto your phone, but, I question how successful the flash was in House of Moto if the OTA is still failing since I return all partitions back to stock.
