Thanks to all the developers for there ard work. I'm loving Kit Kat!

I have been using Kit Kat on my Verizon Razr HD XT926 daily. I have been flashing CM11 nighlies and recently ran in to problem. For some reason my phone automatcally connects to 3G instead of LTE. I can go into Settings/More/Mobile Networks and It has CDMA+LTE/EvDo selected. This should be my correct network setting by default. I can go in manually and select LTE and it does work. This is a extremely annoying considering if I want to use LTE I can't recieve calls or texts... Anyone else deal with this?

I am now running 4.4.2 Carbon ROM and it is butter smooth. Everything is work well besides this wierd glitch my phone is having with the data.

Thanks for any help :) this site rocks!

I did some research and learned I am supposed to use RSD lite. Am I supposed to flash back to stock ROM and temp unroot? Just need someone to verify I understand the process before I flash my radio. Thanks

So switch back to Stock and then flash the Radio, although really it shouldnt matter I dont think. The funny thing is after you flash, you may not see the updated baseband numbers in Custom Roms only in the Stock rom. Its rather odd....

I decided to take a chance and just flash it as is with custom ROM. RSD did it's thing and then rebooted my phone. This did not fix my problem. It is exactly the same. Should I try flashing back to factory system? Is the Fastboot method more effective?

I have the same problem on any 4.3 or 4.4 ROMs and especially any CM ROMs. Weak signal, slow data speeds. I always end up having to go back to a stock based ROM. I've already flashed the newest radio and it didn't help on any ROMs that's not stock based. Another thing always been strange is the new base band never shows on anything but stock based ROMs. Anything else the old base band shows.

That's actually not the problem I am having. My signal is fine and data works great. I have solid 3G AND FAST 4G LTE. The problem is that my phone automatically goes to 3G insead of LTE but I can manually select LTE and use it. That sucks you are having those problems :(  I am so spoiled with ROMs I couldn't imagine going back to factory and I would go crazy if I wasn't rooted!

I flashed back to stock JB 4.1.2 and then I updated my radio. It seemed like it wanted to connect to 4G lte and it showed it was very briefly and then switched to 3G. I flashed back to Carbon 4.4.2 and now I am back where I started. ...  automatically connecting to 3G instead of LTE. Lame! :(
