What's up! I want to start making boot images for androids. I know what size and format they need to be (540×540 .img file) but I can't seem to find a program that converts jpeg or PNG etc to img. I have windows 7, Ubuntu 12.10 and Mac os 10.7.5. I have read that gimp editor for Linux can convert but I tried the free one from the Ubuntu software center and it does not have that option. Any other free programs? I'd like to make boot .img for myself, friends and anyone else who wants one. So if you want some sweet .img, let me know what software I need and I'll start a thread! Thanks

BTW what gimp are you referring to? The one I tried doesn't have any option for raw or img files. I tried exporting and saving

Gimp needs a plug in to work with .raw files..... Google raw file plugin for gimp....:) .... Photoshop handles raw files natively....
