Why do you guys keep saying there never will be? It seems every time a new version is pushed out, the initial reaction is its impossible to unlock/root. And usually, somebody comes through with a way to do it. The only reason I can see this his version will never be unlocked/rooted is because devs will work on kitkat instead of his version. Thoughts?

Ok. That's what I figured. I highly doubt Motorola will be able to put push out a version that can't be unlocked/rooted. There are people out there way smarter than the devs at Motorola!

Notice I never said it was IMPOSSIBLE to root. I said it's likely it won't be. Why? NO ONE'S LOOKING AT IT. As for unlocking, it CAN'T be done. Dan R already looked at it once the exploit he used was patched and said there aren't any more vulnerabilities. So if the guy who did it originally says it can't be done, well, you can "hope" that someone else "figures out a way" but what is the likelihood of that happening at this point? You can also hope that someone picks up the root challenge. It's not impossible to root it. Just someone has to find an exploit. And if you've been paying attention, the root exploits keep getting patched. That means the easy ones are gone and it's getting harder and harder to exploit. That takes a lot of time. Time people may or may not bother putting into this device. I'm guessing not.
