If anyone is still having low in-call volume, open the call recorder in ROM control and change the audio source (I used Opponents voice). Call recorder can still be turned off. I will remove call recorder in the next build. It creates more bad issues that good :p

Wish I had seen your post sooner. I just restored my phone to stock because of poor in call volume. Lol

Thank you for porting an excellent CM11 rom to the Razr M, my wife loves it!  She is coming from a Droid 2 so she feels like this phone is a racecar by comparison.  Is there an easy way to restore the DPI settings or adjust them system-wide in this ROM?  I feel like with the pentile screen, it's almost TOO small the way you have it setup.  Or maybe do you have thoughts of releasing a copy with standard DPI?  What was the stock DPI for this device and what did you change it to on this ROM?

Additionally, the ROM itself was prompting me that there was an update available, even if I just installed the latest build last night.  It seemed to be offering me an older build than what I was on.

Here are the instructions to change the DPI back to stock: I'll add these to one of the first posts :)

  • Open ES File explorer.
  • Press menu, and make sure root is "On".
  • Click on the word "Root".
  • Click on "Mount RW"
  • Ensure all boxes are RW.
  • Navigate to /system and open build.prop.
  • Press menu, and select edit.
  • Search for ro.sf.lcd_density.
  • Change the value to 240.
  • Press menu and save.
  • Reboot.

New build has been uploaded! Built this morning and I have pushed this via OTA Updater, so make sure the OTA Updater notification downloads version 1.0.6 and you should be good to go!

Enjoy! :)

How are you trying to install the update? It has to be flashed just like if you had downloaded it from the internet :)

Got it figured out .. I was trying to use a .img file and then I found a .zip and installed it directly from with in TWRP and after reboot it was on the correct version..

but now I am seeing higher versions of this TWRP and I would like to know if they are for the XT907 or other phones?

Well if you're already on 2.6.0.0, why not just update your recovery to 2.6.3.0, which I can confirm works to flash this rom as well as the official CM11 builds on their site.

To update what Recovery version you have, see post#3:

Or you could download the appropriate recovery image and just copy that .img file into the Razr M Utliity and then it will install that one when you choose to flash TWRP.

I'm confused on how to increase the in-call volume. I can make and receive calls just fine, and I'm loud enough for the other person. I just have a hard time hearing them. Any solution?

Did you use the speaker phone at all? I didn't have any problems with call volume until I used the speaker and then the volume was quiet. A reboot fixed the volume but it is only a temporary fix.

Nice rom, has some cool features. But you can't change the keyboard or else the nav bar stops working, and the audio is absolutely horrible. Playing music it's extremely static (before and after installing the viper audio drivers) and the in call volume is very quiet even on speaker phone. And have to about yell the phone so the other person can hear me.

Just finished uploaded a new build which is based on the latest snapshot build (20140505). Should be more stable than the last update. Hopefully it'll be just as good, if not better than the 20140306 build.

Just a quick suggestion for you. Why dont you switch to moto_msm8960 unified for this so more people on different devices can use your rom with one build? Also TWRP has updated to 2.7.0.0 for the xt907...actually the one recovery works on all moto_msm8960 devices.

Heres a link to the recovery
