Okay I just rooted my phone (Droid Razr XT912 running JB 4.1.2) yesterday, got Titanium Backup PRO in preparation to install a custom ROM (idk the half of what they are or do but I want a different feel and look on my phone)  I currently do not have an external SD card mounted to my device, im working on getting one for it on Monday.  I used the batch action "Backup all user apps+system data" and had that completed, now where does that backup even go, i set it to sync to "Box" but the sync fails at some point during the sync.  I just want to have it so that if my phone screws up somehow, i can wipe it or whatever you do when you're rooted (clarification?) and have it restored to pretty much the point it's at as I write this lol.  If anybody has any cool features that a rooted user can enable on their phone ex. custom boot screens, I would be grateful if you would teach me how to use them, thanks for any help!  Sorry for my ignorance on this topic, I am just really interested on how much you can have your Android phone do.

Never back up or restore system data. You are asking for issues. There should be something in prefs where you can set the back up location

Hello my friend...

Quick note,

Glad your Phone is Rooted it will be a Awesome experience for you...

Now,

Read up on what you want to do with your phone...My suggestion chose a ROM of your Choice and follow it for a while and see and learn what they do...If their is one thing that helps a lot is the OP (Original Post) from Our Dev's...Lots of information in one spot..

Yes you have an External...Note the following Apps and Stock File...

  • Root Explorer its called sdcard-ext (SD External)
  • ES File Explorer its called sdcard-ext (SD External)
  • File Manager (Stock)...sdcard1 (External)
  • Safestrap... sdcard-ext (External)

Its Bubba...."Stubborn In Your Bones"

I'm kinda in the same boat.  A friend rooted my phone awhile back and I'm on 4.1.2.  I'd like to start using cyanogenmod spyder but not really sure where to start. I've got safestrap 3.11 and have downloaded the ROM, but is there a SIMPLE walkthrough for installing it?? thanks
