I accidentally put this in the XT925 section, my phone is a XT926

Hey guys, I never tried rooting my

until yesterday and when i first used the software it seemed like it worked as it put the Superuser app on

but wouldnt let it load so i downloaded rootchecker which informed me it wasnt rooted. So after some looking around i followed a link from some forum that said it was the proper rooting link that would work. I ran it on my phone and my screen went black and went to the fastboot screen in

failure (which i didn't know what it was at the time) so i panicked and pulled the usb out and was trying everything to get out of it. I eventually figured out the power button/volume up combo would allow me to do a normal boot on my phone and i got it running so i thought it was fixed...but i turned my phone off last night and when i went to turn it back on it loaded to the fastboot flash failure screen. So now every time i want to turn my phone on i need to do the power button volume button combo to do a normal boot. I tried doing a factory data reset through the hard reset button combo but all that did was wipe all my data and im still having the same issue.

So basically im in desperate need of help to get my phone to boot normally. I dont care about rooting it anymore i just want it to work the way it did before i tried to do any of this. I know it was stupid to try to do it without fully understanding the procedure but now im just looking to get it back to a functioning stock

Will flashing any of these updates fix it?

I tried following these directions but the files to load to the phone seem to be missing?

also i found this post which is similar to my problem but i don't know if it was ever resolved?

Please help.

PS: i will need explanations in complete layman's terms as i am completely new to this.

So first off you shouldve come to this place because you will get the right answers....live and learn, but now youre here :)

It sounds to me like your problem is a Flash Failure. If thats correct that very easy to fix. You get a boot logo file and flash it while the phone is in fastboot mode. You can find the instructions around in the threads here.

The sbf link you have posted are the correct files for the 926. Its the last various updates.

IF you need a utility, get SamuriHL's House of Moto

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

and follow the directions to a tee with the correct files for your phone.

We are here to assist, guide, and help but you need to read, read, read and did I say read again,

ok so your on the latest update. Like I said in the first post if you have just a flash failure you can flash the logo file.

the file you need from the sbf site would be the 9.30 file. you can get that extract it on your pc, pull out the logo.bin file and flash it with the phone in fastboot

command: fastboot flash logo logo.bin

So basically, once i pull the logo.bin file to my desktop would these be proper steps to follow:

Boot my phone in fastboot

plug it into my computer

open up RSD Lite
make sure it detects my phone in fastboot mode

flash the logo.bin file to the phone using RSD Lite?

would this work?

there probably is a way to flash it via RSD but I do it via fastboot. Usually the utilities you get from here have it. so open a command prompt window in that folder and make sure you use the path to the logo.bin file or move it into the folder with fastboot.

ok i have the phone is fastboot mode and recognized by rsd lite, but when i search for the logo.bin file from rsd lite to open it and start flashing it says file type is not supported...should i use the entire VRZ file and not just the logo.bin file?

because i am able to open the entire VRZ file into RSD lite

yea and if you type dir what directory/folder are you in? you need to be where the fastboot file is.

You can ctrl-right-shift and click the folder where fastboot is and that should put you in the correct place....

Sorry I cant be more helpful, I'm on a Mac :)

AHA ok, i found fastboot program in the platform tools folder of my adt file bundle.

C:\Users\Sluice\Desktop\adt-bundle-windows-x86_64-20131030\sdk\platform-tools

So what you're saying is to open command prompt in the platform tools folder (which has fastboot in it) (i added logo.bin to this platform tools folder)  and then this is the part that confused me, do i type flash logo.bin in the cmd? ive never flashed anything before so im nervous

Yes. You can do the entitlement hack. Search for it once you get root sorted out.

Stuck in Fastboot at power off!

This could help you fix it!

Droid Razr HD 9.18.94.xt926.verizon.en.US

First I would advise you to read everything before doing anything because this will erase everything on your phone!

SO beware and make back up of everything first

Just for info I was rooted and I didn't loose root by doing this I just re installed the Supersu app that was on the phone after I rooted!

I used Hide my root app to do this! I also used Root Checker to check root! I had no root until I re installed Supersu!

Rooted My Razr HD with SafeRoot for Galaxy S4

If you are in fastboot  you can turn screen off  hold down the volume up, volume down, and power at the same and select boot normal to get back in to your phone to make back up if you need to!

I used Minimal ADB and Fastboot program you can find

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

!

Make sure the phone is in debug mode then you can use the ADB to reboot phone!

1: Download Minimail ADB and Fastboot to your computer!

2: Install program to computer

3: Run program (C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot> will be displayed in a C:\ Box on windows!

4: Check to see if Droid Razr HD is linked to ADB by typing  ( adb devices ) tap <enter>

Device will be desplayed by Serial Number

5: If your phone serial is displayed continue! by typing ( adb reboot!) Tap <enter>

This should reboot Your phone to the Fastboot screen razr goes to on powerdown when you are having this problem!

if you are already on the fastboot screen start up Minimal ADB and Fastboot!

then start here

6: Type in ( Fastboot devices ) Tap <enter> Again fastboot should display the Serial number of you Phone as did in ADB

7: Type in fastboot and commands with be displayed

8: Type in the command (fastboot -w)  this will Erase Userdata and cache< and format if supported by partition type>

Caution Step #8 Will set you phone completely back to factory start up!

9: Type (fastboot oem fb_mode_clear) it will tell you if successful!

10: Type (fastboot countinue) Phone will then reboot to normal operation!

Just as a test I shut the phone off and pluged in the charger to see if it worked?

Moto logo should show  for a coulple of secs and then go to battery charging!

You can then power up you phone as normal with power button!

simcard lock screen will be displayed

to unlock rotate phone clock wise 1/4 turn then slowly tap each corner starting with the lower left of the screen keep going clockwise till it shows a different screen!

You should be done and back to you operational phone!

Happy rooting!

Depending on what he did, you have a couple options. Try to boy into bptools. If it boots fine, all you need to do is flash a boot logo. Otherwise look up the house of Moto and flash the fxz.
