So, I successfully rooted (>but didn't unlock the bootloader!<) my RAZR M a month or two ago, and recently I decided to be an idiot and try to install Chainfire 3d (completely skipped the GINGERBREAD ONLY warning). Upon bricking, the RAZR would not boot, only showing the red Motorola logo. I've tried flashing from AP Fastboot, which is my only option because it seems my phone has NO RECOVERY! Every time I try to flash a recovery, it says the memory is not the same size and proceeds to fail. Trying to flash system.img, etc results in a permissions error because I did not unlock the bootloader... I have also tried flashing a stock image with RSD Lite, that also did not work. One of my more experienced friends says it cannot be fixed. Is this a lost cause?

Quick answers are extremely appreciated!

You tried rsd and it failed? What error did you get? As for recovery, stock is your only option since you have a locked boot loader. It has to be the same recovery that is for your device.

Sorry for the late response, just tried flashing again.

In RSD Lite, the 'Status' section of my phone returns "Failed flashing process. 1/20 flash partition "gpt_main0.bin" -> Phone returned FAIL".
The phone shows the following:

Should I try flashing a custom recovery designated for my phone?

The phone still seems to be bricked and refuses to boot.
Re-downloaded the .zip after that first error near the top and still got the same thing.
Any thoughts?

Finally figured it out!
After browsing through other people's XT907 problems in the forums, I found out that I didn't download the right XML .zip for my phone....duh....
I successfully patched it with HouseOfMoto and FXZ Script Generator.

Thank you so much for your time and, if you could, tell SamuriHL I (almost) owe him my life!!

Thanks for the response on this livinginkaos ! Thought I messed up deleting the Stock Rom slot in Safe strap. This was perfect and had me fixed quick!
