After flashing a bunch of KitKat roms i now have major battery drain. Even after going back to a rom that had great battery life. How can i tell if it is an app or my battery is going bad?

Start isolating newly installed apps or DL a battery monitoring app that will detect wake locks and/or other things that are draining your battery.

Might be worth while to flash the most recent FXZ and start fresh once again.

there have been instances where a failed flash has caused the bootloader to show locked in fastboot, but don't let that scare you.  Once you get a successful flash it shows correctly. Your qfuse is blown. No way for them to fix that. They can do something to restructure the fuses, but that is unlikely.

Last two question. How do I root 98.30.1? And How to I get CWM recovery back on 98.30.1?  Been looking and can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

Being unlocked, Root you will do in recovery. Flashing recovery has a couple methods. There is a utility on dr that will do it for you and gives you the option of twrp and cwm. The key with flashing recovery is you must boot directly into recovery after flashing or it will revert back to stock on boot up

Wasn't aware I could. I already got it though but for future reference, how do you do that?

Put the device in fastboot mode, connect to the PC.  Open a cmd window on the pc and direct it to your fastboot folder. Be sure the recovery img file is in the same folder just for ease of doing.  then type the following command:

fastboot flash recovery nameofrecovery.img

Where "nameofrecovery.img" is exactly the filename and extension of the recovery file you are using.

Then immediately boot into recovery.  If it boots into system, it will overwrite with the stock recovery again.
