Here are a few 1% battery mods for ToRmEnTeD KaNg v4.

Animated battery charge previews are APNGs. They are only viewable with Firefox, Opera, or Chrome (Chrome must have APNG extension installed)

Previews:
Binary - "For the geek in all of us" *Icons created by me* [Read the same way as a binary clock]
Posted Image Posted Image
^Thats 97% as an example^

Outline - *Icons created by me*
Posted Image Posted Image

Off Center - *Icons created by mrvirgina*
Posted ImagePosted Image

Thin Circle - *Icons created by nbeebe24*
Posted Image Posted Image

White Number - *Icons originally included in sparkymans Gnex ROM*
Posted Image Posted Image

Note: Battery charging animations start wherever your battery is charged to when plugged in. They will not start off at 0% every time.

Install: Flash zips in Safe Strap.

Ill upload some more at some point with icons already made by other people and credit them correctly. As the ROM updates Ill modify the SystemUI.apk so the default icons dont get overwritten except the battery icons.

When has the OP been updated? Any reason you have to use 2.1 or can you use 2.11? I know..... probably a dumb question but I just wanted to be sure

Normal process...wipe data factory reset ,format system, install zips, wipe dalvik, reboot, setup all apps ( wifi for now) , reboot twice, bingo! did not have to mess with phone info testing screen or settings in mobile...wait for a few minutes switches between modes then connects to lte/gsm/cdma...leave it there...wifi off and on still came back....if i had to reboot it wouldnt reconnect.. so as long as i kept charging the battery when it got low i was ok...

edit: I have had it hook up if i wait a few minutes before going into setup...

You can try unchoneys way, or you can try the older method which does involve changing the network mode within settings or with Phone Info. The process I used was:

1) Let phone boot up and WAIT till you have signal bars
2) Go into Settings>More...>Mobile Networks OR use Phone Info
3) Switch the Network Mode from GSM to LTE/CDMA/EvDo/GSM/WCDMA
4) Reboot and repeat the process until you get data connected.

*If you have troubles handing off to LTE, cant get a LTE connection with this ROM, or live in a 4G area and cant get data with the above method try switching the Network Mode to CDMA/EvDo Auto within Settings app OR if using Phone Info switch to CDMA Auto (PRL) in step 3*

This way it will ignore the LTE signal and continue to stay connected to 3G. Some people got LTE just fine, I was not one of those people...

Everyone forgets to tell people to change the cdma subscription to NV first!
Otherwise data will never work.

God bless.
