Hey All,

Is the boot loader on XT912 unlockable? I have root, but never was able to unlock boot loader. Google searching leads to more confusing info.

Thanks

Thank you for such a quick response. Is there anything I can do with a rooted phone with a locked boot loader?

Sure....:)..... You can install safestrap and still flash custom ROM if you choose..... There are still a few great ones to choose from........:)

Awesome! Can you recommend a good link that explains that process. I'm curious what a 4.4 ROM feels like on older hardware.

You install safestrap like any "normal" app...then open the app... Hit install recovery....then on reboot you will be presented with the safestrap screen where you can choose to boot into recovery.... Once there, hit boot options... Choose and create a "slot".... Then you can hit install..... Find the ROM zip that you have downloaded .... Select it..... Swiipe to flash.....:). And then each ROM thread has specific instructions themselves for flashing :)

You can live quite happily with root and a locked loader if you've never had an unlocked loader and custom recovery
