Just began using this ROM last night. First impressions for using it for over a half a day is great. Very smooth and user friendly so far. Some slight glitches (as would be expected) and the theme wulf made is outstanding. Great job all around guys.

Now for the noob question... Are there any awesome gadgets or apps I could get that would further enhance my experience in any way? I already have Root Explorer, Open Garden and of course Bootstrap.

How does a guy get battery life, like Liberty Rom did for my old Bionic? Im running this rom, now since another rom didnt cut it.

So what's the battery life like on this ROM compared to stock? That's what I'm most interested about.

So far, this has the best battery out of any ROM I've tried. I just wish it wasn't abandoned. ics still doesn't work for me since it's not 100%.

Abandoned. But I've been running it since release, flashing ICS roms in between and always coming back to it. Great battery life and fully functional.

Anybody now of a WORKING 1% battery mod for this?I've been using it for awhile now and that's my only gripe with it..other then that its AMAZING!

As long as its odexed 1% is a no go. Rom would have to be deodexed for that but to many issues when trying to deodex 173 if i read correctly, lol.

Thought so.Since your the one who replied(Been meaning to send you a message) do you happen to have a link to the default phone,dialer and contacts or would you recommend pulling the files myself?

I dont have stock 173 contacts, dialer and phone handy at the moment. I can send them to you when i get home or if you have stock 173 rom you can pull them from there.

Any reason you're not using v1. 2?

I just installed Razrx V1.2 with Safestrap and when I got to the Setup screen and pressed the android it just sat there for around 15 minutes. I rebooted and skipped the activation part but now I have no service. Is there a way to activate it now?

You could try *228.. in my experience though there was no need to re-activate after changing roms.. (most likely due to the SIM card?)

You are not supposed to use *228 for 4g phones.

This I know.. but I've also not seen a 4G phone lose its activation as such either.. at least in my experience of seeing 4 or 5 of them.

Actually, that exact thing happens when you don't format system.
graham- Did you do the following before installing the rom?
1)wipe data/factory reset
2)wipe cache
3)wipe dalvik cache
4)format system

If not, I would go back and do exactly those steps, then reflash the rom.
Also, be sure you are on the 173 system, and not 748.

no, not really.
v1.1 seemed to have no issues so i didn't bother to get v1.2

You were not on the correct OTA before flashing. Kernel version is not correct resulting in no radio.

I just figured that out. I downloaded the OTA update but obviously it won't install since I've messed with some system files.

hi. first post... new to ROMs and all that... and i have the BIGGEST noob question... how do i know if i am running 173 or not? is it in the About Phone? i am used to iPhone... those dreaded things... does it matter where i am? Canada? what carrier? Rogers? wanna give this a try tho... already have SafeStrap on the phone and it's rooted... just a couple questions.

Go to settings, click about and you will see which Android version of firmware you have

anyone one else getting phantom notifications? The led light blinks but there is no notification in the bar. happens all the time, about every 5 minutes. I have tried seeing if its an app, frozen everyone, one by one, and still happens. I thought it was BofA app as it stopped for awhile after freezing it but still came back. never got this in stock or another rom. Its driving me crazy, going to have to go back to stop if I can't figure out why the hell it is happening.

anyone else having issues with the lock screen function? I set up a pin # lock and now I can't go in and edit or remove the security. a pop up coms up saying "the application Settings (process.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." It would be great to know if anyone else is having this issue and if there is a fix. I flashed razrx and wulf's simply stock theme almost a month ago.

Also, google maps won't update.
