Well thanks to the hard work of many develoupers over at XDA and with the help of the community they got ahold of a unsecure aboot.img , that allowed us to break the wall that VZW put up. I am going to post the EZ Unlock way and post the manual way. Simply folks this does not get any eaiser then this.

EZ Unlock can be found in the Play store -------->

Big thanks to mmmeff for making two great EZ apps for us. His other app EZ Recovery can be found in the play store as well.

Just download the app and click unlock. Yep thats it. "NOTE" You must be rooted to use this app.

Here is another way to unlock if you want to do it threw ADB or Terminal on your phone. Download the aboot.img and put it on your SD card or push it .

aboot.img download >>>>>>>>>>

MD5= 0ba9ad45fc15cf3d62af7dd363686b3f

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________

1) adb push aboot.img /sdcard/aboot.img

2) adb shell

3) su

4) dd if=/sdcard/aboot.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5

**** VERIFY YOU HAVE A MATCHING MD5 SUM >>>> 0ba9ad45fc15cf3d62af7dd363686b3f ****

5) dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5 of=/sdcard/abootTEST.img

6) reboot

You can also do this threw terminal on your phone. Just put the aboot.img on the root of your SD.

1) Open terminal

2) su

3) dd if=/sdcard/aboot.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5

4) dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5 of=/sdcard/abootTEST.img

5) reboot

As i said before after you flash or before you flash and reboot the phone. Check the md5 sum if they match then reboot and profit . You can use Root explorer or md5 checker, 7z to check the md5 . I cant stress this enough. If you download the aboot file and already put in on your SD card you cand just flash it ,you dont have to push it.

Big thanks to Adam Outler for his time and effort and all DEV'S out there.

Glad I didn't try to run it. I need to pay more attention to the board name when I click the "View New Content" button. The app listing on the Play store shows it as compatible with the Razr, which can be confusing if you don't immediately recognize the "GS3" part of the app name "VZW GS3 EZ-Unlock"

Not always. In this case he should use 1.2, 1.4 doesn't work and the dev never updated the app. 1.2 works just fine though.

I can verify this too. I had 1.4 and "unlocked", but when I flashed CWR, I got the Verizon yellow triangle of death. Using 1.2 to unlock fixed that problem.

Looks like EZ Unlock got pulled from the play store. Anyone have 1.2? Planning on getting the S3 in the next few days but may reconsider if I can't unlock the boot loader. One of the reasons I want to ditch my OG RAZR.

thought i'd just throw my 2 cents in

i was on the razr maxx

but i'd have to say i enjoy the s3 better

all the motions that it has are great

nfc

patched google wallet

and much more

only con i'd say would be the battery

but zerolemon battery took care of that

i'm not out for looks of phone just as long as i don't have to charge it all the time

and just to throw it in there hyperdrive is a nice rom alot of different options to choose from

and another thing i love about the s3 is i bought a

micro usb otg to usb 2.0 cable

plug in jump drive and transfer files to phone or from phone to drive

Thanks for the info NIN (Trent Reznor is the shyte!!!!). I was checking out zero lemon earlier today. Puts quite a bit of heft on the phone but it is nice not having to charge as often as I do now with the Razr.

I didn't go with zero lemon, instead I got a cheap 6280mAh off ebay for only $20. Well worth it. Phone lasts 2 days on 1 charge with moderate use.

Does it add a lot of bulk to the phone Hicks?

Trying to get the guy on Swappa down to 290.00 from 320.00. He lives here in Miami so I may be getting the phone sooner than expected.  :D

It makes it alittle bulkier but not much at all. As soon as I can get a pic of it i'll upload it. After adding the extended battery, it's now about the same weight as the OG RAZR.

I can live with that.
