Hello again to all.  Been a while since I've written anything because I thought I was getting rid of my RAZR.  Decided to undo all my rooting and go back to stock.  Now I want to flash another rom, but when i plug my phone into the computer, it doesn't recognize the phone.

I remember there was a place to change how it would read the phone, mass storage device, etc.  But now I can't find that option anywhere.  Can someone point me to where that is?

Thanks!

The USB modes are in the pull down menu on the phone......... However , you should update the Motorola drivers on your computer (get them here if you need

There in lies the problem.  The pull down menu is no longer on the phone.  How do I get it back?

Yep, did that first and still no luck.  However, does it matter that I'm running Windows 8.1?  I've not tried it on an earlier version of windows.

Yes windows 8 may make a difference....... Try again but run the .bat file as administrator........ If that don't work, try an earlier windoze version.....OR..... Grab a "live CD " of a Linux distro and run it on it :)

If that fails, you can run it thru the House of Moto......

HoM on Linux Live CD really is the way to go the more I think about it.  Makes the driver issue go away completely.

I'm still not getting the computer to recognize the phone.  And there is no drop down menu to select how the phone should be connecting to the computer.  Frustrated but not out.

If you go into setting, Storage, then menu, you don't get the USB connection method choice?

Was the utility or House of Moto successful?

If so, it should have "reset" everything back to stock......

Then with updated USB drivers it should be fixed.........

If you are trying to root, use the moto safe root, don't mess with RazrBlade.
