Hello! My devices Power Button is non-functioning. For a week or so I have been using an app to wake phone with volume button and Android Terminal Emulator for reboots. But, finally last night, somehow I managed to shut my device off and obviously I can not get my device powered up again. I get boot logo and battery percent when plugged in and that is it. If my only options are $80 for a store to repair it or $100 for insurance I am not interested and will update my dummy line. I am not sure these cables I have been reading about is a fix either. After all this will not fix my Power Button. Since I love to Flash RoMs/MoDs this is a Pain in the Butt especially in boot loop situation which I was lucky and got one last reboot from the Power Key. I ripped my device apart, I took my motherboard off hoping to see something obvious like something needing sodering but I did not see anything and while I had device apart I made sure to clean the best I could around the power button, etc.. and still no luck. If I am missing a simple inexpensive solution then call me blind. Power+Vol-up/down does nothing obviously. Struggling here.

Thanks for any suggestions!!!

You could always repair it yourself if you have a decent soldering iron and a little skill. There are replacement buttons you can get fairly cheaply.

Welcome to the club. ;)

Thanks! Which recovery do you use? I like twrp but I want the WiFi Hotspot Hack. Only option I am finding says must use CMW. (XDA) Also, newbie question- If I use CMW for this can I easily uninstall the recovery?

Thanks!

Post a link to the hack you are looking at. I don't believe that cwm is required, just that you have custom recovery, but I could be wrong.

I just came across this one here. No recovery is needed. What's your opinion before I attempt? Edit: did this procedure here. Worked great!! XT912 RaZR SpYdEr CDMA hit ThAnKs if I was helpful!!!
