Cross posting this from XDA, because I didn't see any other thread about it. This is a stock rom based on the 748 version. This is what I usually use instead of fastbooting when i screw something up, it's much quicker and pre-rooted. I didn't make it, but the guy who did said people are free to use it as a base... I hope this is ok too.

This is the OTA Verizon CDMA Razr version 6.11.748. This is the system partition only (preinstall/data not included. Sorry, no 128mb let's golf or whatever). No kernel/boot.img. This will not update your radio or webtop. It will not change any partition except 'System'.

THIS WILL NOT WORK FOR NON-VERIZON NON-US RAZR's.

Features:
  • Stock - not debloated - does include bloatware and is NOT de-odexed
  • Rooted with Superuser installed
  • Works pre or post OTA upgrade - will work with original radio
  • Does not wipe data - though I always recommend it
Instructions:
  • Only flash if you are using Safestrap - info can be found here:

  • Download and copy to your SD card
  • Reboot into Safestrap Recovery
  • Make sure safe system is enabled
  • (recommended) Factory Reset - Format data and cache
  • Install from SD Card
  • Restart

Just wondering if anyone knows if flashing this will allow me to take the official 173 update when it gets pushed? Does this include all necessary system files for the update? Just curious as it would be a quicker and easier way to get the update rather than using rsd to stock. Thanks.

Not using safestrap for sure. Bootstrap maybe. I'd RSD Lite anyway though

Can anyone re-post this ROM? It would save people a lot of hassle trying to use fastboot instead of being able to just use a total stock ROM :D

I can check if I have it laying around somewhere still... but I have to ask, why? You can just fastboot to .173 if you are trying to upgrade. There is no reason to stay with .748.

Edit : Nope, I cleared up my archives already.

well i was hoping to just update so i did not have to reset everything. I uninstalled safe strap but when i tried the upgrade failed. So i saw this and wanted to try it. I found another thread where someone said to just restore the system folder from a past backup before you installed safe strap so i am trying that right now, ota update is downloading. But yeah, so if that does not work I guess i will just do fastboot.
