Greetings all,
After 30 years in telecom and IT, I've graduated from Blackberrys (OK, I know) to my first Droid - RAZR HD. Normally, I haven't been too concerned about updating when new software was available, contrary to what I've learned with Windows. But this time, I took KitKat before I started reading the forums. God, I want JellyBean back. I won't go into the gory details of everything I hate (and a lot of stuff that no longer works) about KitKat.
So, I went to the Verizon store and the manager suggested I root my phone. Hmmmm.
Came here to learn and see if anyone has mastered the art of ditching KitKat and restoring JellyBean. Saving that, I'll ditch the phone after 5 months and get something else - Yeah it's that bad.
I really liked the phone I had. I hate the one I have after the upgrade. Verizon offered to replace with a Samsung or HTC of which I know nothing. I just want a larger screen (like what I have) and the ability to add and SD card ( I refuse to buy any Apple product) to listen to music.
I've been a loyal Motorola user since the early 90s but am not impressed with how Google ran it into the ground and then sold it to Lenovo.
regards,
AJG
