Was not sure where to post so move to where it needs mods.

So recently I had to use my Verizon unlimited data as our homes main usage point until we find a provider after ditching Comcast.  I admit it is high, we have used, per my phones report, 55.65GB from June 10-17.  We now only get about AVERAGE 1.3mbps while it used to be off the charts comparatively ( maybe 12-24 sometimes) and now sometimes only .3.  Is this commmon only been a month as a test run.  I live in the Portland area if that helps.  Are we unlimited users being squeezed out?

Well yes. Verizon doesn't want unlimited users. The only people left on unlimited are very careful in what they do with their plan - once you lose it you aren't getting it back. What's happening to you (I think) is that you have reached the top 5% of users, by amount of data consumed per month, in your area and you will be throttled to 2G/3G speeds until your current billing cycle ends and the new one begins. There's nothing you can do about it. Even if you were on their MORE plan or what ever they are calling it today, you would still be throttled once you reached that 5%.

This is based on material I read in one place or another about how Verizon handles throttling and data consumption, as well as my own experiences in struggling to keep my own and my mom's unlimited data plans.
