Nice to see they addressd battery life. Not
I'd like to know why there are so many complaints about the battery. I get far better battery life on KK. It's all about set up, don't blame it on the update.

Battery life is a tricky mistress. Usage patterns differ between every user. No two phones will be configured the same. And hardware goes through cycles so someone could be on a "revision A" device while someone else is on a "revision C" device. In theory identical, but, um, yea. Plus batteries die over time due to charging cycles. So just because one person has "excellent battery life" with any particular build, it does not translate into "this build is great". Nor does it automatically translate into "this build sucks". People are too quick to ascribe blame to the latest thing that's changed on their device when the reality is there are a lot of variables that impact performance and battery.

I know. and if it was a slight difference only on my phone, I wouldn't question it at all. The difference is staggering.
With minimal use my phone is dead by 1pm. This is a substantial change.
One of my coworkers? Noon. She used to get an entire day. Noon. She is a clueless user who does not tinker with her phone at all.
I've been supporting devices since the very first BB hit the market. I'm no noob to these devices even if it may seem like it when trying to use RSDFlasher.
But really... I'm not.

Yea. I didn't write it or have even used it but the name is funny. And I think people who are getting crappy battery life should find out why. If it's the OS itself, this should help pinpoint it. I mean, Google isn't doing a giant OS overhaul for battery life for no particular reason. I also wonder on some of these where the differences lie between ART and DALVIK.

I was just looking for something highly rated that gives you the battery info you need that goes beyond the built in useless stats that android provides. If I were having battery issues, I'd be installing that for sure.

I can't account for corrupt downloads. There's really nothing at all I can do about that situation. If you can't unzip it manually, my program isn't going to, either. But if the zip file is correct, and again that's on you guys to ensure a proper file, then the program will unzip it and it will take a while.<snip>
Could you provide md5's for the files so we could identify corrupt downloads?
My MD5 for VZW_XT926_4.4.2-KDA20.62-10.1_CFC_1FF.xml.zip (both downloads.)
856606BFC7A74A473924954F67CC23C5
Also, does the unzip show any signs of disk, or cpu usage? I think mine is a bad download because it looks like a window flashes quickly, but there is no subsequent harddrive or CPU usage.
Thanks.
PS. You can go from 4.1.2 to this, right?
