I am wanting to add this boot animation to my Razr Maxx XT912 Flick3.0.0 rom .215 leak and I have tried all the ways I've seen in forum posts with no avail...... can anybody tell me how or if maybe this file is wrong or if it can even be done?? Thanks In advance!!!

Have you tried renaming the file and placing it in your data>local folder? I will download it and try myself right now and let ya know how it goes.

Well I see what you are saying. I have to put my kids to bed. But as soon as I'm done I'll work on it and see if I can get it. I've already changed the sound file to a .ogg file. I'll get it working and back to you ASAP

There seems to be a issues with some of the images when trying to open them. I am getting a error and they are not allowing me to open them at all. Between that and the fact that they are .jpeg when i think they are supposed to be .png files, this may be the reason its not working for starters. With the number of images in the folders and the lack of time that I have this week, it may take me longer to get this fixed for you than I originally thought. I will work on it as I get time though.

JaeKar99 would be the one to ask, but some tips he mentioned to me were making sure there weren't too many images in a folder (I try to keep it under 250 per folder), make sure the JPEG images are the right resolution, and try making the loop only play once instead of looping. I would have a look but I won't be at my computer until tonight. I will have a look then if it hasn't been solved :)

Upon opening up the desc file I can see that the resolution is 720x1280 and the images in the folders are 320x480. Try changing the images to 540x960 and the desc to: 540 960 20
p 1 0 part0
p 0 0 part1

Again, I will do this tonight if no one has solved it :)

Try this:

I changed all the images to match the Razr resolution to be safe. There were a few corrupt images that were removed/replaced. The sound file is now .ogg format and included in the desc file. The desc file now reads
540 960 20
p 1 0 part0
s SupermanBootMusic.ogg
p 0 0 part1

To install, download and extract files. There will be a bootanimation.zip and the sound .ogg file. The .ogg file MUST be placed in /system/media. The boot animation can be placed in system/media or data/local.

I have not tried this on my phone, but I do not see any reasons why it will not work. Let me know if it doesn't and I will try to fix it :) Just a note, some Roms will not run sound on the boot animation. If Flick has sound during the stock boot animation then the sound should work. If it doesn't, then the sound may not play.
