Hi I'm Nick. I live in Texas its not where I'm from but its where unfortunately I'm permenantely located.

Im not new to the android razr as I've had my Razr XT912 for a couple years. It has a cracked front screen but is still my functioning phone. I've been debating on fixing the screen on this one or buying my ex-wifes i-phone 4 back from here that I purchased in the first place_I'd rather not_. I also seen something about being able to buy a kit to upgrade mine to a maxx. What would yall suggest? Buy the full Maxx upgrade? Buy the straight cheap screen or buy the kit that has the full display and touch digitizer etc... I'm literally the newbest of newbs and am here humbly asking someone to take me under there wing!

First off..... Welcome to droidrzr...:) were glad to have you here......

Next..... Yes you can purchase the maxx kit (if you can still find one ) and to replace the broken screen, you will need to get the screen digitizer combo as they are glued together as one piece (although the can be separated, its quite a job to get them put back together properly....

Both the maxx kit and the screen kit are relatively easy to install if you have the proper tools and are comfortable with completely disassembling your phone....

There are you tube videos of the breakdown that help with the process as well and are worth watching for your first time.

Like John stated, if you can find the kits still, it's a good option. It's not too difficult if you don't rush it. On the LCD/digitizer, I recommend always making sure they are oem. Less potential for bad parts.
